Fun experience learning about these horses - Great to hear from the man himself of the history of the Gypsy horses, then he followed along in the walking tour to help the tour guide with any needed information she might not know and like to throw in a few extra stories

Wonderful look at the Gypsy Vanner Horse - I have been interested in Gypsy horses for years and I was excited to find this tour. Dennis, owner of these gypsy horses, gave us a brief history of the horses, how his wife saw a pretty pony in a field in the UK, and how that lead to all you see on the tour. The horses are beautiful, friendly and love carrots (take lots LOL). This is a casual tour as you walk along the way Dennis talks about the horses, answering any questions you might have, you are not rushed as there is no tour behind you. As you wonder along the shaded path to see more and more horses you will think you are in a magical place, as the grounds are so lovely and Dennis was so personable!

Beautiful Animals - The tour was amazing. I learned so much about the history of the horses. I was able to get up close and personal with the horses and get some great photos of the horses. We were lucky enough to meet two babies, 1 was 4 days old and the other a week old. Beautiful animals! Well worth the trip.

A Not-To-Miss Horse Farm Tour in Ocala! - The horses are beautiful, gentle, and friendly! We learned a great deal from Dennis Thompson about the history of the British breed and his success in bringing them to the US in the 90s. We also learned about the British Gypsy Roma and Traveller peoples, minority ethnic groups with a history in Britain that dates back centuries; the Gypsies were the keeper of the horses. Fascinating short lecture and generous-in-time walking tour! Don't forget to visit the gift shop.

👍 - Taylor’s easy-going personality was a plus for the tour. The horses were amazing. Patience, the donkey, was a great hit with all of us as he broke out of his pen and accompanied us around the farm. it was an unexpected treat for us.

Bucolic Morning with Stunning Horses! - What a charming morning! These Gypsy Vanner horses are incredibly beautiful! They are very friendly and clearly are expertly cared for with a great deal of affection. They love to be petted and will happily approach visitors to pose for pictures. The two hour experience is roughly divided in half with the first half being a very informative and entertaining talk about the history of the breed and how they came to be in the Florida. We were very fortunate in that the Farm's owner graciously gave the presentation himself! The second half of the tour consisted of a leisurely stroll through through the large corrals. We even got to pet the foals! Our charming guide answered our many questions and introduced us to the personalities of each of the horses. There were only (20) guests on the (40) acre farm - just lovely! The tour is perfectly suited to seniors. Chairs are provided for the talk. The walk was very easy but for those with mobility concerns several of the corrals are very close to the barn and there are chairs outside to sit out part of the walk if need be. The talk's educational content was primarily geared to an adult audience - it would not be suitable for very small children. Also (just to manage expectations for younger guests), these horses are not available for riding. The Farm does support school programs for the very young - I do not know if they have tours that are suited to younger families at this time (should have asked!). Logistics of getting there from the Disney area are quite easy - the drive was about 90 minutes on the Turnpike. The tour ended closer to 12:30 which was perfect for checking out the many local restaurants for lunch in nearby Ocala. It made for a delightful day!
