Great! - This really was a great tour. The tour guide loves these horses. He told the most interesting stories, and you were able to pet And interact with all of them. There were other animals on the farm as well which made it even more fun. It was a wonderful, laid-back family atmosphere. And of course the horses were beautiful.

This tour blew us away! 5 Stars all around! - First of all, I had no idea gypsies currently suffer from bigotry, and I knew very little about their history. This tour taught me so much about their history, the horses that pulled their caravans, and the story of how these special horses came to America and are now a breed of their own. Dennis Thompson, the owner of Gypsy Gold farm, is a wonderful storyteller and had our rapt attention for the entire tour. He has a wonderful sense of humor, is passionate about the Gypsy Vanner horses and their history and is an encyclopedia of knowledge. We learned of his meager beginnings, the many products he invented, and his dream for making his farm an educational opportunity for all ages. We started by sitting outside for about 1 hour, learning the history of the horses. Then we had a guided walking tour around the farm and were able to pet horses, mules and a very adorable donkey who managed to escape his pen and follow us the rest of the tour! The farm is also a refuge for a large number of parrots. I would highly recommend this tour!!

Dennis, the Vanners and a little donkey named Patience. - Linda and I visited Gypsy Gold in 2021. I wrote a review then and I will repeat some of it. You won't find a more passionate horse lover, breeder, historian, than Dennis Thompson. The Gypsy Vanner Horses are unique. Dennis will take you on a beautiful history ride. Please go see his Vanners and make sure to say "hi" to Patience, a little donkey who will sneak under the fence to greet you.

Great history and cool horses and rescued macaws - The owner is a fascinating man whose story alone is worth s visit. The history of how this breed came about is beautiful and historic and you learn about the travelers what we know as gypsies,

Amazing place, people and animals. - My sister and I went on September 16th and arrived at the wrong time, 3 hours early, they accommodated us even though the mistake was ours. We had the best time. We were given the tour and told about the farm, the horses, and how they came to be in the u.s. and became a breed. Everyone was so kind and knowledgeable, and the horses were beautiful. Would definitely recommend it. 5 stars all day long.

excellent banner horse visit for my senior group - Mu Company Join the fun Tours from Ormond Beach Visited the Gypsy Gold Horse Farm September 10, 2024. My Senior Group Motor coach Company has been to other Horse farms in Ocala and this one was the best. Dennis the owner and his wife was exceptionally the friendliest and knowledgeable of their farm and Banner Horses. My group of seniors loved the History presentation, followed by the easy walking tour of probably 2 dozen Banner horses with 2 babies and also parrots. They also had cold water for my guest on the tours. 1st class tour, we will be back

Fun and educational visit - It was interesting to learn about how the breed developed over time and how the breed gained recognition as a breed. It was also interesting to walk the farm and to meet the many horses, donkeys and mules that live there.
