Great Tour of the Gypsy Horses - This is an amazing tour. The owner & staff our extremely friendly and very informative about the horses & their experiences. This is a must do if you are in the Ocala Area!!!!

Spectacularly Heartwarming & Rich Storytelling - Owner, Dennis Thompson, has the gift of exceptional storytelling! With a good dose of humor balanced with heart touching stories, I found myself in tears a time or two, along with many laughs that made the hour history part of the tour fly by. His deep love and passion not only for the Gypsy Vanner Horses but educating others about the Gypsy culture to set the record straight of these big-hearted people is remarkable and truly admirable. Being a fellow animal lover & advocate, I was deeply touched by his future dreams for his farm to be an educational center. In part, to continue to also share his love of donkeys and bring back to the forefront what we so need in this world and that we do our part in coming back to Compassion, Empathy, Patience, and Kindness – just to name a few human virtues – of which the donkeys so beautifully exude. Being able to hug a mini donkey and spend some time with her baby, Wisdom, was the highlight of the tour for me and will remain in my heart as one of my fondest memories. Thank you, Dennis, and all those of Gypsy Gold Horse Farm who continue to bring awareness to the exquisite and touching animal-human bond, and how together, this love can change the world.

Worth making a stop! - Dennis has quite a lifetime of experience and knowledge. A beautiful breed to see and interact with in person.

Highly recommend - interesting for all ages - Highly recommend 10 AM tour (1 hour presentation + 1 hour tour of farm, getting close up to the horses, mules, and donkeys). Dennis was an outstanding storyteller, passionate about his development of the breed and his love of the horses The animals were very well behaved and amenable to being petted and photographed. Excellent for all ages but the presentation might be a little long for small children, although they would really enjoy the walking tour.

AWESOME, FABULOUS, MUST GO!!!! - We had a large group (19) of people interested in traveling to Ocala from a nearby Florida city to see Gypsy Gold Horse Farm. Due to the number in attendance, we were able to arrange for a private tour for our group. This was my 2nd time here, and I made the tour arrangements for our group. Erin was fabulous to work with -- good communications, details handled, etc. We talked multiple times on the telephone to finalize details. Everyone carpooled to Gypsy Gold, and there was enough parking for all plus more. Our tour started off with Dennis giving the history of these breathtakingly beautiful horses, and how he and his now deceased wife came to learn about the Vanner horses and their pursuit of their goal of bringing them from Europe to the US. Dennis is a wonderful and really interesting speaker. He is entertaining, funny, witty and so very knowledgeable about so many things. He is very open about sharing the joys and the tragedies along the journey of getting the Gypsy Gold Farm to where it is today. He is the person you want to invite to your next dinner party and then just sit and listen to. Dennis talked about an hour to our group and then we were able to accompany him as we all strolled the grounds of the farm while he continued to explain the background and histories of the horses, donkeys and mules that we were able to see. Our group had brought carrots with them, and I will say that being able to feed and pet the horses, donkeys and mules was a true highlight. Hint - baby carrots are easier to handle. This is a working farm and there were several friendly volunteers there helping with the many things that have to be done on a working farm. This is really a not-to-be-missed treasure in Ocala. You won't be disappointed. It was truly worth the price of admission. Go!!!!!

Great Horse Tour - Gypsy Gold Horse tour was great! Dennis is a great storyteller & very knowledgeable. I learned a lot about Gypsy Vanner Horses, along with being a Gyspy. It was enjoyable walking around & being up close to horses, donkeys & mules. Thanks for sharing your life, stories & wonderful farm with us, the Polo Cheerleaders. It made our day.

Great tour - Such a great experience at the Gypsy Gold Farm tour Dennis has so many fascinating stories and you can just feel his love for his animals. Great tour where you can walk around and meet all the animals and also learn alot about these beautiful animals..loved it!

Beautiful horses - I learned a lot of history on the Gypsy Vanner horses. Not a breed you see a lot of where I live. Then we got to go see the horses & pet them. That was fun! This farm is ideal for horses and very beautiful. If you like horses and history of horses regardless of the breed you will like this tour. Recommend for sure!
