Great experience - Marvin was a great guide. Very friendly and made the experience more fun with information about Jamaican culture. He took us to the Green Grottos and Dunn River Falls. I would highly recommend him to be your guide.

10/10 would recommend! - Climbing the falls was so fun, and the caves were good too. The real star of the trip was our tour guide, Jamaican Chuck Norris. He is with #RealToursJamaica (IG) and he made the adventure so special. We had a little extra time after climbing the falls and let us add in an extra trip to the Chuck Norris Secret Falls, named after him of course! Then we went to the cave where he let us grab an authentic Jamaican beef patty (super delicious) for lunch. On the way back to our hotel we stopped for some fresh coconut water, straight from the source! We had a bad start to our trip due to poor hotel experiences and seemingly nothing going right, but Jamaican Chuck Norris was our hero. We got the real feel of Jamaica and saw many cool things. He has all the awesome fun facts about the island and taught us some of the local lingo! If you guys are looking for the best tour guide, look for him and his wife Samantha who provided the best customer service we could’ve hoped for!

Great tour - I ended unpnnthis tour by myself. My husband got the flu and was stuck on the cruise ship. I was a little wary about going alone, but my guide, Vivian was great. We talked all the way to the Green Grotto caves- about economics and US politics. The cave tour guide, Chedd, was awesome. He could be a stand up comedian. Caves were interesting, but mostly due to the history. The actual cave stalactites and stalagmites, were minor. 13 species of bats in the cave and yes, you see them. Then we went to a Dunns River Falls. Because it was New Years Day, the Falls were packed with locals and with 3 cruise ships in port, they were packed with tourists too. About an hour wait just to get onto a tour to start up the falls. You climb up as a group and you do need the help of your fellow group members to make the climb. Climbing is ok for kids maybe 8 years old and up. Would not bring younger kids on the climb. Guides were good and made sure everyone was safe. Climb takes about an hour. You can spend the whole day at the falls. There are other things to do here too. My guide then took me to see Mick Jagger’s house, to a market and then back to the port. Guides are licensed and I felt very safe, even by myself. Would recommend Real Tours. They were very accommodating, even though the cruise line changed our port and itinerary three times.

Tiring but worth it - The cave was pretty cool and the bags kept to themselves. The Galls were absolutely beautiful! But the whole process seemed unorganized and stressful as there are so many people going at the same time and your groups are not respectful of others and some of the guides were quite pushy. The guy taking our pictures along the route was cool fun and helpful and made it an enjoyable experience in the end.

Fun but some cons too - This was a fun thing to do! I felt that the group was a little too big- there wasn’t a lot of room for exploring. There’s also a lot of other big groups even on a less busy day, so you get traffic jams on the falls a lot. You all pretty much follow the path and there’s a lot of hand holding. But they have a videographer who goes with the group and you can buy the videos after. Walking through the market after is super annoying- they HOUND you to buy things. The guides will pester you for tips. You are required to have water shoes, so bring those along. It seems like the group size makes accidents and falls more likely- everyone is trying to move along and if someone falls they take others down with them. Overall a good experience, but not my favorite thing we did. I could’ve taken it or left it.

We purchased the package through Royal Caribbean Dunn's river falls and Grotto Caves...expensive for what they offer - We purchased the excursion for 89 dollars which included the use of an (old) bus from Falmouth (stop on the 4th day of our cruise with Symphony of the seas) to Dunn's river falls and Grotto caves. The guide Prudence and the driver Joseph are very nice and helpful (but they speak American and also quickly). Little was explained to us that could have been understandable and we felt a little confused as we did not speak the language fluently. For 89 dollars each we certainly expected more also because an excursion lasting 6 hours and 45 minutes had to at least include water and a snack. Overall the places are worth it but not at these costs!
