Depending on the selected pickup location, the driver will arrive at the cruise port 1 hour before passenger disembarkation or travelers will be picked up from their hotel.
An air-conditioned minivan will then transport them to the starting point of the horseback ride. This location is approximately 10 minutes from the cruise ship port and no more than 15 minutes from centrally located hotels in and around Ocho Rios. Upon arrival, experienced guides will provide an introduction and select the most suitable horses based on the travelers’ size and experience level.
During the ride, the guide will walk alongside to assist in managing the horses. Along the trail, the guide will point out interesting sites and landmarks while sharing some of Jamaica’s fascinating history.
The trail eventually leads to the beach, where travelers and their horses can cool off by swimming in the sea while still mounted. For those who prefer not to swim, relaxing on the beach is an option before returning to the starting point. Cold bottled water will be provided.
After the ride, travelers will be transported back to their pickup location.
