- 869 US-64 - After a brief orientation, you’ll board our bus for a ride into the Cherokee National Forest with views of Lake Ocoee and the river on your ride to the Ocoee River. Your Middle Ocoee adventure will begin at the Ocoee #1 Dam where your guide will go through a complete safety orientation with practice time before getting on the river. The Middle Ocoee River is 5 miles of class III/IV whitewater, featuring 17 major rapids and is 90% whitewater giving you miles of big waves, action and fun. As you descend the river gorge you’ll be immersed in the beauty of the Cherokee National Forest. Your smiles and laughter will get bigger with each rapid as your confidence builds. This is the perfect bonding trip for family, friends and groups alike. No experience necessary! At the end of your river adventure, the bus will bring you back to the outpost where you’ll get a chance to look at photos from your trip and change back into dry clothes. Minimum age to participate is 12 years of age.

This stretch is suitable for rafting novices and veterans alike, with over 20 consecutive class III & IV rapids. The multiple surfing and play areas explain why it draws in countless individuals every year, eager to experience this picturesque 5-mile route. Starting just downstream from the Ocoee Dam No. 2, your journey begins with a thrilling rapid named Grumpy’s, followed by Broken Nose, Roller Coaster, Table Saw, Hell’s Hole, and many others. The cherry on top is a refreshing swim spot about halfway the distance, which helps you truly connect with the river. Our experienced river guides are committed to making your excursion unforgettable.

Definitely worth the trip !! - We had such a great time on our rafting trip on Saturday that we had to go back and do it again on Sunday !!! Dan was an awesome guide Saturday and Will was amazing on Sunday… two totally different perspectives.

Awesome time—ask for Emma! - We had an amazing experience on the Middle River trip with Cherokee Rafting! Highly recommend asking for Emma as your guide—she’s an absolute pro. Emma made the trip super fun and perfectly matched the adventure to our skill level. We’re already looking forward to coming back for the full river trip next time. Awesome whitewater fun. - Dan was an awesome guide. The class III and IV rapids were thrilling. We had so much fun, and the team kept us safe as well. The whole experience was very much worth it. This time we did the 3 hour, next time we’ll try one of the other longer options.
The scenery, the weather, the river and the history, all came together for a perfect day of adventure.
This company has been around for years and it shows in their skills.

This is the company you want to spend your day with! - My family had an amazing time white water rafting. It was a first for my boys (18 & 19). Sydney was a wonderful guide. She was in control so we felt safe and she was fun. We laughed, she created fun experiences for us and she taught us about the area. The ride to the launch was full of laughter. The team work really well with each other. Before heading out on the bus we hung out at their post playing corn hole and basketball while listening to fun dance music. Of course we all left with souvenirs because we wanted a momento of our time. The rafting photos were amazing! I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a fun day!

Excellent Rafting trip! - We took the teenagers on this trip and we all loved it! Jaime and Bella were excellent guides and worked hard to keep us all safe. They were very knowledgeable about the river and the stories that went with the names for the different rapids and sights.
