Highly Recommended Wine Tour and Tasting - What a great excursion! A friend and I booked this tour on a lark, but it was certainly one of the highlights in the Odessa region and worth every kopek. Roman was early, very professional yet extremely friendly and an excellent driver. He was also overflowing with information on Odessa and its surroundings, and has a superior command of English. If you are considering any trips outside of Odessa proper, I highly recommend seeing if Roman is available. If I would have had more time, I would have gone on all the trips he offers! The wine tour was very interesting, the grounds are very beautiful, and the guide (also a co-owner), Kristina, was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. I went on a previous tour to one of the best-known wineries in the region, and while it was also a great experience, I have to say the quality of the wines at Tairov blew the other winery out of the water! I don't normally enjoy white wines, but their Chardonnay (called White) was exceptional! Even more surprising was their sherry, which was better than any I had while visiting their birthplace of Jerez! Not a single wine was simply okay, even if I wasn't ordinarily partial to the style. Especially if you are a white wine aficionado, you must visit, and make sure you have plenty of room in your luggage so you can stock up on their superb yet very affordable (for now!) offerings. Here's wishing that Tairov gets the acclaim it deserves! It does Ukraine proud!

Another taste of Odessa - Roman is personable, knowledgeable and speaks wonderful English. Kristina at Tairov was a delightful hostess and we enjoyed our private tasting. We enjoyed the experience so much, we are booking another tour tomorrow!

Great Wine Tour - Great wine tour! Learned a lot about Ukrainian wines and Roman was a great tour guide! Very accommodating and easy to talk with!

History and wine - A lovely couple of hours tasting wines and getting a unique insight into the history of wine-making in Ukraine. The tour was very personalized and I learnt a lot about different wines - something I would not have done on my own.

Overpriced but really good experience - Absolutely loved the winery and guides. However I’d say it’s rather on an expensive side. It was basically 2 rooms we saw and wine tasting of Ukrainian wines ( which was amazing). The guide was knowledgeable and very pleasant person. But for 1 hour tour (without transit time) I’d say it’s a lot of money you pay.

Very nice 3 hr tour to one of the oldest wineries of Odessa. - Very nice 3 hr tour to one of the oldest wineries of Odessa. Our English speaking tourguide Roman picked us up at the hotel and drove us in 30 min to Tairov where we were welcomed by Kristina, one of the owners. She told us about the rich history of the estate and its owners and showed the estate a small museum (all still in original state). Then we tasted 10 high quality Ukrainian wines. Lastly we bought a bottle of nice white wine for a very good price. After that Roman brought us back to our hotel. All in all a very good alternative if you do not want to spend a full day visiting eg Shabo
