Lake Ohrid - Guests will be picked up from their hotel to begin a tour heading southeast of Albania. The first destination is Ohrid Lake, a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is one of Europe’s deepest and oldest lakes, maintaining a unique aquatic ecosystem of global significance. Visitors can enjoy the scenic views and explore the Drilon area and Tushemisht village.
Voskopoja - Situated 1,200 meters above sea level, Voskopoja is an ideal location for hiking and walking. Historically, Voskopoja boasted over twenty Orthodox churches, though only seven remain today, adorned with 18th-century frescoes both inside and out, making them worth a visit. The landscape of Voskopoja and its surroundings is breathtaking, offering a leisurely hike to the nearby village of Shipska.
Voskopoja - Korca - Lin Village - Tirana
Korca - After breakfast, the journey continues to Korca city. Korca hosts Albania’s largest carnival, held before Orthodox Easter. The city is also famous for its local music, known as “serenata.” A walking tour will introduce visitors to the city, including stops at museums such as “The National Museum of Medieval Art,” the first Albanian school, and the main attraction: the Orthodox Cathedral.
Lake Ohrid - Following lunch, the tour proceeds to Lin village, once referred to as the “Lake of Light,” possibly due to the way sunlight and moonlight illuminate its surface throughout the year. The tour concludes with a return to Tirana city in the evening.
