- 600 Santa Rosa Blvd - A typical lesson will include 1.5 hours of instruction and board rental. We will begin with a group introduction followed by a current conditions / marine life report. - 600 Santa Rosa Blvd - A typical lesson will include 1.5 hours of instruction and board rental. We will begin with a group introduction followed by a current conditions / marine life report. I will go over water safety and etiquette then we will begin stretching. Land class includes instruction of proper prone position, paddling technique, the “pop up”, and proper stance. Depending on conditions, I will decide the length of instruction regarding “paddling out.” (duck diving, log roll, nose dives, etc). I will assist each surfer with line-up placement and push them into waves if needed. All ages are welcome!

Awesome Experience for the Kids! - We had a great experience! Had a surf lessons for a 7 and 8 year old at Okaloosa Island. Malachi was our instructor and he was so great with the kiddos. Both of them were able to stand up a few times during the lesson. They had a blast. Would highly recommend this company and Malachi to others looking for a surf experience in the area!

So much fun! - Really great experience for my teen girls. They both were successful surfing at their first lesson! They came home so excited to go again! Conner was great!

AWESOME time with AC and Cody! - AC and Cody are super passionate, great teachers. They obviously love what they do and their enthusiasm is exceptionally contagious! Our twin 14 year old daughters had their first surf lesson with these cool cats, and they absolutely loved it. We’re not sure how we missed out on previous Okaloosa Island trips, but will FOR SURE hit these guys up next year for at least one more lesson. One of the greatest endorsements: the locals at The Angler all know AC and had nothing but great things to say. Thanks so much to both of you - it was an awesome time!!

Great surf lesson with AC - My 10yr old daughter and I both had a great time. AC was great in every aspect in showing us how to get up on a board. $ well spent. Anyone looking for a quick beginner surf lesson, this is a must. AC was a great instructor and him being a local from the area enhanced the experience. My daughter has not quit talking about it since the lesson. Looking forward to continuing to learn more for beach trips in the future.

Surf lesson - My daughter absolutely loved her surf lesson with AC. He was very informative and lots of fun. He gave her a lot of guidance on the beach before hitting the water. Then lots of support to find good waves and technique support while in the water.

Surfing Experience through Gulf Coast Surf School - Our surfing experience exceeded all our expectations. Our instructors A.C and Evan were very knowledgable and patient. It was the highlight of our trip. I highly recommend it for anyone at any age. They started with instructing on land before heading into the water. Their constant encouragement and instructions made us feel both safe and able. We appreciated their efficient communication with us before the experience, and their follow-up afterwards. We could not say better things about the experience we had with A.C and Evan through Gulf Coast Surf School.

Cool lesson, bad management through TripAdvisor - The lesson was amazing and the instructor very cool, but I had problems booking through tripadvisor and I almost could not receive the lesson because of that.
