761 State Highway 33 - Rotorua Ziplines was born through an intimate connection with the Ōke Awa (Kaituna River).
It has been created to showcase its mauri (spirit) and importance through Aotearoa’s (New Zealand) best zipline experience.
Over a 2.5 hour journey, that will have you soaring through the air like a bird over three waterfalls, which even includes the highest commercially rafted waterfall in the world - Tutea Falls 7m on a total of four ziplines, one swing bridge, and interacting within the Ōke Falls forest on a series of boardwalks.
Guided by two local guides who will keep you entertained with stories of our ancestors and our deep connection with the area. You will sip on ancient Māori teas and then get your hands dirty as you plant a native tree in your name and become a part of our reforestation mission.

Are you prepared to glide over cascades, speed through untouched indigenous woodlands, and gain insight through a hands-on cultural and ecological journey in Okere Falls, Rotorua? If that’s the case, Rotorua Ziplines is your destination. Designed for a diverse range of ages and skills, a web of ziplines, swing bridges, and walkways will astonish you for 2.5 hours as you fly, stroll, and marvel at the gorgeous taiao (Environment) of Ōkere.
Conceived from a close relationship with the Ōkere Awa (Kaituna River), this collaborative venture between Ngāti Hinerangi and Rotorua Rafting’s locally originated, Sam Sutton, aims to highlight its mauri (spirit) and significance with New Zealand’s up and coming top zipline experience.
With an emphasis on improving our taiao through the very process, every visitor will contribute to the planting of a tree in their honor as part of Rotorua Ziplines reforestation efforts. The goal is to plant 60,000 local trees by 2025, supporting the prosperous future of Ōkere Falls for upcoming generations.

Must do experience! - Absolute must do. Family will be back and will add rafting next time. Nui and Josh were the perfect guides, informative, knowledgeable and absolute love sharing their passion and a cuppa of tea. Photo's taken by our guides were fabulous and memorable treasurers until next time. Keep up the great work Nui and Josh, and massive thank you!

Last minute booking .. SO GLAD WE DID IT! - We had so much fun! This was a last minute booking for us, we just popped in and tried our chances to get on a tour and we were in luck .. we left within half an hour on a trip they created just for us around other bookings. Hows that for service! Our guides, were fantastic! Not only did they really know their stuff, the history of the area but we had so many laughs which created such a fun and enjoyable experience. Weather was great also, so don’t be put off by going in the off season, it was perfect for us. Do yourself a favour and book! 🙌🏻

Super enjoyable and heaps of fun - don't look elesewhere - This was absolutely amazing! A lot depends of course on your guide - but Earl and Rafael had been super informative stops in between, security all top. A kawakawa tea in the middle of the tour, time was just flying buy.
it is GREAT that they contribute a part of the booking feed to plant new trees.
A wonderful morning, totally relaxed and enjoying the ziplining above waterfalls!

Knowledgeable and enthusiastic guides! - Highly recommend this company - our guides Josh and Ethan clearly love their work and share that enthusiasm with clients. There are just 4 lines plus a swinging bridge, but the sharing of historical and ecological/cultural significance of the area plus a tea break make it a valuable and worthwhile experience.

Best fun we have had for a while - The views were breathtaking, 2.5 hours flew by, as the guides were so incredibly engaging, supportive and funny as hell. The experience had the right balance of walking, cultural experience, rest, excitement and peace, beautifully designed tour. Highly recommended.

Exceeded expectations - This was a fabulous family activity and way exceeded our expectations. The ziplining was lots of fun in a beautiful location. The staff were super friendly and professional and we had lots of fun. They were very knowledgeable of the history of the area and flora and fauna. The kawa kawa tea was a lovely addition to the experience.

Fun But Breathtaking - We went for my in-laws 70th birthday. Josh Earl Ethan and Raphael were amazing staff. The views were amazing, you could even bring your phone out to take photos and videos. They also let us hang off the swing bridge. On the second zipline you can go back out to see the waterfall. When you zipline you can even see whitewater rafters. It's worth the price and a must do in Okere Falls.

Zip line over beautiful waterfalls! - Earl and Marta were fantastic guides. We felt safe and relaxed and ready for excitement!

A must do on your tour of Rotorua & surrounds - Not being an Adrenalin junky, this zip line experience provided a great option for a fun adventure whilst visiting Rotorua. Good value for money with four crossings over stunning waterfalls and rapids, as well as the swing bridge. Great guides who were helpful and informative, not to mention hilarious!

Amazing Zipline Experience at Okere Falls - The Okere Falls Zipline Experience was the highlight of our recent trip to Rotorua. We were a group of 6 with 3 adults and 3 girls aged 11,10 and 8. Our guides Marsha and Johnny were funny, informative and very professional. They really made the trip. The ziplining was exhilarating for adults and kids alike. And we also really enjoyed the Kawakawa tea and all the interesting facts about the region, its wildlife and its history.
The reforestation initiative that Rotorua Ziplines has undertaken with local iwi is awesome. It is great to see a company that gives back to its community.
We would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Rotorua.
Next time we are doing the rafting! We just need to wait for the kids to get a bit bigger!
