• Okutama Mukashimichi - Cycling through the forest, visitors will encounter a quaint mountain village with a fresh spring water source and wasabi farms. The journey continues to a mountain shrine nestled under a large rock. Next, an old suspension footbridge high above the river valley offers a chance to spot local wildlife, especially monkeys. Along the way, small shrines and statues erected by the roadside will be explained.
• Lake Okutama - Upon arrival at the lake, visitors can explore a small museum detailing the local heritage and take a walk along the dam.
• Mugiyama Floating Bridge - This floating bridge is situated midway along Lake Okutama, offering customers a tranquil and serene experience from the center of the lake.

Join me as we cycle along the historic Okutama road, once a bustling trade route to Tokyo. I will guide you through the area’s rich history, natural beauty, and unique culture, which stands in stark contrast to Tokyo’s urban landscape. Along our journey, we’ll encounter natural springs, wasabi fields, ancient shrines, mountain villages, and possibly some local wildlife. Our ultimate destination is Lake Okutama, a large artificial lake, where we’ll visit a small museum showcasing historical artifacts. Afterward, we’ll return to town to relax our feet in a local onsen (hot spring) and shop for souvenirs.

Please arrive 30 minutes early for check-in and preparation, i.e., 12:30 PM for a 1:00 PM start.
