Very knowledgeable guide - We booked this tour for 2 people with private transport; We were picked up by a discrete and excellent driver with a large Mercedes car in good condition. Our tour took just under 7 hours and included the 3 different castles as advertised. We had such in the 3rd castle. The guide was very knowledgeable and seemed to have a university degree in arts or history, since he was able to answer all our questions about present or historical Ukraine. He did speak a very good English and German, and seemed to be fluent in Polish as well. We appreciated the possibility to discuss with him not just the historical sites visited, but also present day life and politics in Ukraine. The rate we paid for our tour was rather high, but taken into account the comfort of the transport and the very professional guide, we were very happy with our choice.

Great view. - The castle has very little left of its original artifacts, the view of surrounding villages and countryside is absolutely beautiful. You can walk along the wall surrounding the castle for a better view. Lots of history due your own research before visiting.

Great day trip in the L'viv area - After a day in L'viv, our group headed to the castles in the area. These castles show the wear of the centuries, but is a nice day out if you have the time in Ukraine. We spent between an hour or more at each location and enjoyed the historic significance of these attractions. Since I am familiar with Russian Orthodox Church, I was ore interested in the church adjacent to Pidhirtsi Castle.
