Superb presentation of Felix - Nice visit on the making of rum and tasting. The tasting of 4 different rums with accompaniment of cheese, chocolate allows to discover all the flavors.

Well spent 3 hours 👍 - Our pick-up at Iberostar Bávaro was at 10:45, after an entertaining drive we were guided through a souvenir shop where there is EVERYTHING (cigars, rum, magnets, beach clothes, sunscreen... everything). Price was the shop ok. In a séparée we were then welcomed for the tasting. First, we were generally told about the rum creation and the Oliver company, before it came to the tasting. This was really good and not on sale, we had even asked extra if you can purchase the tasted rum. By the way, the séparée had free water. After the tasting we were able to look around the shop and then could just let us know when we wanted to return, then a gentleman drove us. There were only two of us at the tasting, but it was in English, although we had booked German. Not bad for us, as we speak fluent English, but could certainly be difficult for some. At about 13:30 we were back again. Perfect short trip 👍

Felix the best - Felix was a really nice host, the Rum tasting experience was at another level, now I know how to taste Rum at home. Good job

Cheers - The history of Rum making was exciting to explore. All the Rum tasting were delicious. You were able to see the colors in the Rum and smells. Overall a wonderful experience.

Amazing Tour - Santiago was an amazing tour guide. He was very knowledgeable on the history of rum for Dominican Republic. He was very friendly & accommodating. Would 10/10 recommend the rum tour when you visit!

Not the greatest but ok - I loved learning about the rum and the tastings were good. Our group was small, so we could ask a lot of questions. It's a short excursion though and I felt like I was on the transportation bus longer than I was at the rum place. Like a lot of excursions, it has a gift shop, and you are given time to "shop" so be prepared for that. They do also have chocolate you can sample and buy and that is really good. All told, it's a decent way to spend the afternoon if you like rum and have a few hours to kill. But I wouldn't put it at the top of the list of things to do during a short vacation in the DR.

Don oliver - Great great experience. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. I enjoyed everything!!!! The fruit pairing and rum tasting went well together. The price point was decent. Would recommend to others!!!!

Tasting was a great experience - The rum tasting was really nice and educational, Felix did a fantastic job. Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the communication from the tour company should've been better. I messaged several times asking why we were being picked up 3 hours before the tasting ( it was supposed to be 1 hour before) and never got an answer, all other questions were answered but that one ignored each time. We arrived about 90 minutes before the tasting, apparently they pick you up so early because they have a small store and a cigar tasting room so you can shop. Knowing this ahead of time would've been nice instead of being ignored. It made it seem like they didn't want you to know what was going on.
