The Ancascocha Alternative hike is undeniably one of the less frequented routes around Cusco, offering both solitude and some interaction with native inhabitants, particularly herdsmen. This journey is particularly tailored for those who have a deep appreciation for nature, elevated Andean locations, and stunning mountain landscapes. This trek is only provided by a few organizations, offering the chance to experience unspoilt scenery. The Ancascocha alternative path unveils stunning Andean high valleys, snow-capped peaks like Salkantay, Humantay, Huayanay among others, and vibrant lakes such as Salkantay and Ancashqocha. This venture allows us to witness original Inca pathways into the mountains that have been preserved over the centuries.
