The best Inka Trail you could do ❤️ - I don’t usually write company reviews but I just came back from the 4 day Inca Trail with AB Expeditions and it was honestly absolute perfection ❤️ The Inca Trail itself is an experience beyond words but what made a real difference is that unlike other tours, this was small, intimate and felt so family-like! There were moments when we were literally ALONE in the mids of the nature and with 400 people doing the same trek every day that really was pure magic. Our guide Ricardo is an absolute legend — super insightful, kind, really let us take our time and go at our own pace (the difference between an enjoyable and a less so hike when you’re at 4000 metres plus!). I asked so many questions and he always had such interesting answers. Wonderful stories and really fun conversations! We always arrived at the best spots just before the big groups or the rain… so I think he has some secret powers too :) As a small group, we always had the best camping views too. The team of chefs and porters were so friendly and kind, and had all the details perfectly thought through. Charlicha and Agripino — you guys are da best, after all that hiking and porting, I still can’t believe you made all this incredible food for us. In the middle of the mountains! Cake too! Gerardo, Juana, and the rest of the crew — thank you so much. Being a porter is such a tough job and I felt relieved to see the energy between the team so warm and upbeat, you can tell it’s a good place. Overall, absolutely recommend!

The best Inka Trail provider - We booked the 4-day Inca Trail with AB Expeditions. The tour was very well organized, everything was on time and went as described in the program. Our guide Bernie was a very experienced tour guide who has completed the Inca Trail over 350 times. He knows the best places on the trail and has an informative answer to all questions about the Incas. The food provided by chef William was excellent and far exceeded our expectations. Every day he conjured up varied multi-course menus. We particularly liked the fact that we were a very small group (4 hikers) and that AB Expeditions is a local company that treats its porters very well. All porters had full equipment including shoes and seemed to be happy with their work. This good mood was passed on to the whole group. Thanks again to Bernie, William and all the porters, we would book with you again at any time.

Wow... - Wow, my partner and I had a wonderful time with AB Expeditions and our guide Bernie. There is nothing negative that I can say about them. They were attentive, honest, had a wealth of experience and genuinely lovely people. The food was unbelievable, how they can create the dishes they do with out a kitchen no one knows! Applause to William. The hike is hard, but the experience and the views well worth it!!

Amazing Inca Trail tour with Ayben - Our Inca Trail trip to Machu Picchu was absolutely amazing. Our tour guide Ayben made the trip really special. He was so friendly, experienced, and knowledgeable and adapted the pace and explanations to the needs of the group. The meals made by the cooks were also incredible; different local dishes for every meal. So unexpected in the middle of nature. The big tents, meals, and tea times felt so luxurious. I also loved that the group was very small compared to other tour companies that we saw on the trail. We had 4 people in our group, so it felt like a private tour. Overall great experience if you like backpacking and hiking

What an experience. - What a wonderful experience! We did the 4 day 3 night in a trail and had a blast! The campsite were perfectly selected and the food was beyond my wildest dreams - poached pears in read wine in the middle of the jungle 🤯. The trek had many highlights and our guide Ayban made sure that all our questions were answered and our concerns resolved. He was also very friendly and made sure we were having a fun, great experience. The guide made sure that we were all accounted for and no one was left behind. The porters were and cooks were also treated very respectfully and with dignity. We had a blast!

One of the best travel experiences of my life - Still speechless. SUCH a well organized trek! The porters anticipated our every need and Rosel was THE best guide I’ve ever had. I will follow him to the end of the earth. He’s like a spiritual guide and tour guide. His passion for his culture and history was contagious!

A trip of a lifetime - Our inca trail was unforgettable and exceeded our already high expectations in every way. Pick up from our hotel on day one was brilliant. The phasing of the trip in terms of difficulty was perfect and each day offered something different in terms of trail and scenery. Our guide Rosel was incredible, giving us so much; unique and personal incan historical insights, motivation to keep climbing the stone stairs and captivating stories at dinner. The food at every meal time (including peruvian happy hour!) was beyond anything I could have imagined. A real taste of peruvian cuisine at over 3000 metres, genuinely mind blowing. The organisation was impressive from top to bottom. Nothing would have been possible without the herculean efforts of the porters. Carrying our loads with a smile as it they were made of feathers. Worth every penny and I would recommend this trip to anyone.

Incredible experience with an incredible team - Had the most incredible experience on the 4 day Inca trail. Exceeded all expectations… all down to the amazing staff. Rosel was our guide and through out the whole experience he provided us with interesting information, helpful support along the challenging trek, great conversation and lots of laughs. I’m so grateful for everything I learnt about Incan history from Rosel, he really knows his stuff! Another bonus is that he’s an amazing photographer and always gets the best shots, making us laugh for some candid smiles too. We were sad to say goodbye to Rosel, it felt like we were a little family by the end! I had no idea what to expect from the food on the trek but every day we were treated to a feast. Charlie our chef went above and beyond. He catered to us as vegetarians and every meal was delicious. He was full of surprises and it really meant a lot seeing the love that went into every meal. The whole experience had a really personable feel, it was great to meet the porters properly, they are an incredible team, so friendly and helpful and we had lots of cheers, support and laughs with them. What amazed me the most was how they catered to our needs before we even knew what we needed! Hot water when we arrived at the camp, tea in the morning to ease the early wake up and lots of smiles along the way. I couldn’t recommend this team enough! You’ll have an unforgettable time with them. To finish it all off, Rosel and the team helped us get to the airport to make our flight which we appreciated so much. Thank you all!

Unforgettable 4 Days - This was an incredible experience unlike anything I’ve done before. Our team felt very taken care of by our porters, chef Charlie and most importantly our guide Rosel. He was very knowledgeable and told us great stories. I’m very grateful for the experience he was able to create for us. The mountain views and views were fantastic, and I felt very connected to the Inca and Peruvian culture.
