- Samaria Gorge - Samaria Gorge, the longest gorge in Europe, is situated 4,000 feet above sea level. This full-day (12-hour) excursion to Samaria Gorge begins with a pick-up in Heraklion and a drive to Omalos, located in the heart of the White Mountains, where breakfast can be enjoyed before starting the hike. The trek will lead you over rocks and stones, through a forest of 1,000-year-old trees, along a river, and past fresh-water springs. A professional mountain escort, fluent in English, German, and Greek, will accompany the group. The escort will provide all necessary information and distribute tickets for the entrance and boat. Entrance fee: €10, Ferry fee: €13 (boat). These fees are to be paid to the guide upon arrival. Each client walks at their own pace, with the guide positioned at the end of the group to assist if needed. At the end of the trek, visitors will reach the village of Agia Roumeli, where taverns, bars, and shops are available. There is time for a swim and lunch. A meeting point is arranged to collect ferry tickets from the escort. Late in the afternoon, around 17:30, a boat will transport you from Agia Roumeli to Sfakia, where a bus will be waiting to return you to the starting point.

Embark on a stimulating hike through one of the lengthiest and most renowned canyons in Europe. This trip from Heraklion will take you through a day full of natural spectacles, from the White Mountains to ancient forests, and beyond.
Your guide will be present to offer all necessary details about your hike and provide you with the entrance and boat ferry tickets. Entrance fee: 5€ (free for children up to 15 years old). Ferry fee: 13€ (Sougia ferry). These fees must be paid to the guide upon arrival.
Following your breakfast, you’ll commence your journey through the Samaria Gorge. Upon completing the trek, you’ll visit the small town of Agia Roumeli, boasting a variety of taverns, bars, and shops. You’ll be given some spare time to either relish a swim or grab a bite to eat.
In the late afternoon, you’ll hop on a boat that will transport you from Agia Roumeli to Sfakia. From there, a bus will be available to take you back to your point of origin.
