• Samaria Gorge - Samaria Gorge, the longest Gorge in Europe,4,000 feet above sea level.Your full-day(12-hour) excursion to Samaria Gorge begins with a pick-up in Heraklion and a drive to Omalos, in the heart of the White Mountains you can enjoy breakfast before you start the hike.The trek will take you over rocks and stones, through a forest of 1000-year-old trees and along a river and by fresh-water springs.You will be accompanied by our professional mountain escort who speaks English , German and Greek.Our escort will explain all the necessary info and provide you the tickets for the entrance and boat.Entrance fee : 5€ , Ferry fee : 13€ ( boat) . Embark on a stimulating hike through one of the lengthiest and most renowned canyons in Europe. This trip from Heraklion will take you through a day full of natural spectacles, from the White Mountains to ancient forests, and beyond.
Your guide will be present to offer all necessary details about your hike and provide you with the entrance and boat ferry tickets. Entrance fee: 5€ (free for children up to 15 years old). Ferry fee: 13€ (Sougia ferry). These fees must be paid to the guide upon arrival.
Following your breakfast, you’ll commence your journey through the Samaria Gorge. Upon completing the trek, you’ll visit the small town of Agia Roumeli, boasting a variety of taverns, bars, and shops. You’ll be given some spare time to either relish a swim or grab a bite to eat.
In the late afternoon, you’ll hop on a boat that will transport you from Agia Roumeli to Sfakia. From there, a bus will be available to take you back to your point of origin.
