We will pick you up from your accommodation at 8:30am in Rotorua, and you will return by 2pm. • What to bring: Sense of adventure, swimwear & a towel. • What we provide: Custom built rafts, wetsuits, helmets, lifejackets, paddles, fleece tops, wetsuit booties and splash jackets. • Location: The river is located just outside Tauranga at - 1376 State Highway 29, 20 minutes drive from Tauranga or 1 hour drive from Rotorua. • Conditions: 13+ years only. • Also please note – This is an exciting GRADE 5 RAFTING EXPERIENCE and is NOT SUITED FOR OLDER OR BIGGER PEOPLE, or people that aren’t comfortable in the water. We have a weight limit of 120 kgs.

Engage in a thrilling rafting journey on the powerful Wairoa River, an experience that promises to be memorable! The Grade 5 Wairoa River near Tauranga is famous for its superb white water activities in New Zealand.

Kaituna Cascades takes you through the entire span of the river, including the lower three rapids and the waterfall!

Brace yourself as you navigate ‘Mothers Nightmare’, a technically challenging grade 4+ rock garden that concludes with an engaging 2 meter waterfall.

Dare to ride ‘The Rollercoaster’ - a long, bountiful staircase of fantastic white water bound to elicit laughter from even the sternest individuals!

Experience the exhilaration of ‘The Waterfall’, with its thrilling 3 meter plunge into a swirling pool of white water. Afterwards, relax and relish the subsequent 4km of entertaining grade 3/4 rapids and waterfalls as you navigate through the rock canyon laden with boulders on the Wairoa River - the adventure concludes with an enticing 5 meter cliff jump for those daring enough.

Hectic experience and great tour guides that make for a safe and thrilling experience - The white water rapids were the highlight of my time in Rotarura. Great if you want to experience adrenaline and learn some history about the rapids. The tour guides were excellent and made it an awesome experience. Highly recommend.

Great fun with a side of brain freeze 😁 - Amazing experience! Ran through everything in and out of raft so we were comfortable and then had a great time. Recommend purchasing the photos also! Great memories despite the brain freeze 🤣

12/10 Would Raft Again - This was hands down the most fun i’ve had rafting! The guides were a blast, super personable and excited to be there and that really made the entire group excited! They provided all the gear we needed, wetsuits, fleeces, etc. so we were very comfortable despite it being spring temperatures outside. The river itself was beautiful, and had a bunch of super fun rapids and waterfalls. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fun, high adrenaline trip out on the river with friends or family!

DON’T MISS OUT ON THIS 😍 - Our raft guide Bell was awesome & hilarious ( also crazy ) but so much fun! Definitely recommend. Great price! Also really cool merchandise 😍 We will be back!!!!!

First time but not the last white water rafting! - Absolutely amazing experience. We had never done white water rafting before and felt completely safe. All the staff are so lovely and the pictures were such good quality. Would definitely recommend for an adrenaline filled activity.

Haaaayeeeeeeehhhh!! - It is the best experience ever. The team made our experience more entertaining and fun, and most importantly safe. They give us gears to wear to keep us warm. They provide outstanding instructions of the what to do. They also provided a pick up and drop off from our accommodation. Most importantly, we had lots of fun, and a surge of adrenaline rush 💖 will definitely come back next time. Thank you specially to; Blue, who pick us up and drop us to our accommodation, and for the amazing photos Ollie, who keep us entertained, safe and had so much fun on the water rafting.
