Very nice day, beautiful experience - A busy day with a lot of Things to do. You start by leaving by boat towards orange bay, you stop for a first time for 30min of snorkeling next to the corals, in an almost transparent sea. Guides put you in confidence and are there to watch you. You then leave, then you stop on another spot of 30min.
Then you eat the lunch that was good.
Then towards orange bay, a beautiful island with transparent water. Only thing wrong, we stayed 1h30 there and we would have liked to stay a little more. But that was very good.
Then turn you back to the Check-out Point to make the Banana Boat. Perfect.

GO TO ORANGE BAY! - This is a mini Maldives. The water is clean and shallow for miles. There are various photo opportunities on the island to capture your moments there.
There is fresh mangos and mango juice on the island.
The prices of drinks are expensive, but that is to be expected as this island is extremely remote. That’s why I won’t knock it to a 4 rating, because if you’re expecting an island which is a boat journey away from civilisation to be cheap then that’s on you, no one lives on this island. It is extremely well preserved.
Each boat company or excursion company has their own strip of the beach with beanbags. Our excursion company had the first space which was great as it was a short walk to toilets and bars!
We came on a boat trip from our hotel in Makadi Bay, which started at 8:30am, where we made our way across the ocean towards the island with a single stop for snorkelling near the coral reefs.
We spent an hour and a half to two hours on the island before making our way back to the hotel, with another snorkelling stop, making it back at 4:30pm. This was €60 per person and worth every penny. The boat was very calm on the water, which was a relief because I was worried about sea sickness, which wasn’t an issue for anyone onboard. The boat also provided lunch for us! (It wasn’t the best food in the world, but it was alright and filled a hole). To actually get onto the island, we needed to get off out main boat which was anchored in the middle of the sea nearby with other boats. We got onto a small speed boat which was decently fast but again, not long or fast enough of a journey to cause sea sickness in the average person.
I think the trip to Orange Bay is shorter if you go from Hurghada, as it is closer.

Amazing day out in Hurghada - Great experience all the crew and staff were extremely friendly and helpful, smiling at all times. Amazing value for the money as you are taken out for pretty much the whole day from morning until evening. 10/10 would recommend for everyone visiting Hurghada

Orange delight - We had a fantastic trip to Orange Bay. We got the boat to the island which was a very smooth experience for anyone worried about boats and feeling sick. We spent 1hr 45mins on the island itself and then got back onto the boat and had lunch which was very nice. After lunch we had two 45 min sessions of snorkeling at two different locations. The day ended off with a inflatable sofa ride from the back of a speed boat. The family all thoroughly enjoyed the day out and would highly recommend for anyone visiting Hurghada. The staff were also fantastic. Shout out to Roma, Mustafa and Banana.

Nice little island like paradise but does get crowded - Lovely islands but does get very busy.
We visited orange bay as part of a snorkeling and scuba package with sunrise aqua joys own excursions company Global dive and had a really good day.
After an amazing diving experience we headed to the beautiful orange bay island. We had to get on a small boat to get to the island and then walk up the pier. We was designated a seating area and given 3 hours to enjoy our time.
The island is beautiful with loads of fantastic picture opportunities.
Only negative is the amount of mosquitos, make sure you take bug spray and also how crowded it can get. You have to wait a good 15mins+ to take a photo as everyone else has the same idea.
We would return though so that shows that we did enjoy it.

Beautiful but packed - This was an overall nice day spent on the boat doing activities but it felt a bit like a money making scheme.
Pros:
- nice boat and crew for the most part (the captain was constantly screaming abuse at the crew)
- great experience snorkeling but due to the number of people it was less enjoyable
- orange bay beach was beautiful
- food was decent, as was the tea served along with Fanta, Coke, sprite and instant coffee
- we got some snacks and water bottles when we got on the boat
Cons:
- on the booking it says to be ready for pick up at 8:30, after booking we were told to be ready for 8:10. In the end they came at 8:30 so we all lost sleep
- we spent about 40 mins in the car driving around picking people up
- the snorkeling gear is of the MOT.basoc quality
- you'll be herded as a group the entire day, the only free time will be on the island and even that is strongly recommended to be confined to a specific area with a specific bar they get commission from, all in USD, all cash, expensive cocktails
- we only had an hour and a half or so in the actual island which was the entire point so it was very short. You either swim and take pics or chill with a drink but no time for both
- we didn't receive any more water after the initial bottle at 9am and the trip ended at 16:00
- due to the boat being crowded and overbooked, the water activities at the end were completely cancelled in order to get everyone off the boat quickly before the inspector arrived
- we ended up then waiting for 15 minutes in the hot sun for our ride back to the hotel because they were not prepared
- a lot of time was spent taking in water videos and photos offered but at expensive prices,I wanted one or two underwater videos as a souvenir and was told it would be €40 whereas I have friends that have all gotten some for €10, beware
- local ice cream that costs LE30 was offered for $3 USD
Overall it was a nice day, but I don't think I'd do it again. All of the tourist trap moments and cancellations/changes/ delays really made the experience less and less enjoy. The tour guide also wasn't present with us after the water bottles were handed out after getting on the boat, didn't hear from him again except to ask for reviews which were asked for along with tips before they informed us that the water sports activities were cancelled and we'd be taken back to the port. The contact who organised it did call one of us to offer the water sports for the next day as a recompense but it was a Monday and we were leaving. He was apologetic.
