St. Johns River Kayaking: Manatee Refuge Adventure

The St. Johns River features a variety of landscapes and a wealth of wildlife, with the spring run serving as a designated manatee refuge. In very cold weather, more than 300 manatees have been observed in the short run. The river sections flanking the run are marked as a “No Wake Zone,” making this part of the St. Johns ideal for kayaking and canoeing.
