Orange Walk - After being picked up by your driver, you’ll head north from Belize City for about an hour. During the drive, your guide will share insights into Belize’s history and culture. Enjoy the scenic views, including the Belize River and quaint villages. You’ll stop at a landing site near Orange Walk at the toll bridge, where you can use the restroom before boarding a comfortable, canopy-covered motorboat. Here, you’ll meet the captain who will guide your river and Lamanai tour. As your river adventure begins, keep an eye out for tropical water birds, crocodiles, howler monkeys, and manatees. You’ll visit the Mayan site of Lamanai, enjoy a served lunch, and then take a guided tour of the site. Afterward, you’ll return by boat to the landing area to catch your bus back to Belize City.

This Lamanai tour has become one of the most popular Mayan sites to visit as our guests get to experience a tour of the New River in Northern Belize as they make their way to the site. This river tour offers a great opportunity for our visitors to view some of the country’s tropical birds and wildlife such as howler monkeys, crocodiles turtles, and manatees. At the the site upon arrival, you will be served lunch which is a homemade Belizean meal. Bottle water and fruit juices will also be available. Your tour guide will then take you through this amazing ancient Mayan city of Lamanai. The highlight of this tour is visiting the mask temple where you get to see the largest mask of an Olmec person in this region. You will also visit the high temple which allows you to overlook the new river lagoon. Your tour of this ancient city culminates at the Jaquar temple. After a short stop at the shopping area, you will be brought back to the landing area by boat for your transfer to Belize City
