Time to unwind - What a blast! This park is definitely for adults and children. This is a great place to unwind and take yourself away from the daily stress. Make a budget for fun. Universal App is essential for getting through the lines quickly. Also, take some time to enjoy the City Walk. Reserve the restaurants through the mobile app. Plenty of fun.

Best Anniversary Vacation - My Husband and I 1st visit to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. Was the best experience ever. The whole park had a lot of memorable moments we will never forget. There is so much for a family to do. 1st time in CityWalk Bubba Gump Rest. the food was exceptionally great. Can't wait to bring my family hopefully soon.

Universal Studios Family Vacation 2024 - Family vacation here was EPIC!! Our kiddos are older now so it was even better!! We must stress even tho the Express pass was VERY EXPENSIVE it’s worth it!! Any ride that said 80mins was 2 minutes or no minutes.. which made this visit fantastic! We got on everything and finished both parks in 12 hours.. so make sure you wear your best comfy sneakers.. we did 14miles..

This is a must if you’re into theme parks. - Better than Disney world. More big rides than Disney world. They have great roller coasters at Universal. Several 3d/ immersive rides. Great movie themed rides. Jurassic park was definitely a good area in the park. The Harry Potter themed was good. Those were the family favorites. Can’t wait to go back.

Smaller park more for families - There are two parks right next to each other. This one the studio park has more shows and family rides than the other park. I did like the other park more and by the time we park hopped to this park I was pretty much done with 3d ride experiences. My favorite ride was the Mummy. It was pretty amazing and has a few surprised in store for you. My son liked all the Minion rides and stuff.

Lines, lines and broken down attractions. - Too many express passes and early admission tickets are sold. If you have a regular ticket you will have to stay in a line for hours. Even if you are are first in line to get in the park at 09:00. The line for Harry Potter motorcycle ride is 180 minutes when the gate open.....
A lot of break downs on the old attractions, causing even longer wait times and frustration.
You can bring your own food and drinks which is good so you can eat while you wait in the lines.

Disappointing Check-In Experience at Universal Studios - Disappointing Check-In Experience at Universal Studios
Our family was really looking forward to our visit to Universal Studios today, but unfortunately it got off to a terrible start. Despite having a confirmation number for our tickets, it did not work when we arrived. This forced us to stand in an excruciatingly long line outside in the blazing sun for over an hour just to get into the park.The line situation was poorly managed by Universal. There was space for four workers at the ticket windows, but they only had two working, both sitting comfortably in the shade with fans on them. Meanwhile, hundreds of paying guests were stuck queueing up in the heat.It was a miserable first impression and a horrible way to start our Universal Studios experience. We had been anticipating this trip for months, but the first hour was just wasted away standing in line due to their lack of organization and understaffing at the front gates.Hopefully once we finally get inside the park, the actual rides and attractions will help make up for this initial disappointment. But so far, Universal Studios has failed to deliver on providing a convenient and enjoyable experience for their guests from the very start. I'll be sure to provide an update if things improve, but this has been a very frustrating and inauspicious beginning to our visit.

Do not waste thousands of dollars taking your family here - This park is not worth it anymore. You cannot survive this park without needing express passes anymore (and thousands of dollars). We only got onto one ride in 4 hours. I used to love this park growing up. It used to be so much cheaper! My mom had annual passes for all of my family and we used to go every year while staying at Hardrock and Royal Pacific Resort. She canceled her annual passes 3 years ago because of how expensive it became, even though she had year passes for 22 years (first paying $69 for the whole year for both parks) with Universal Orlando. My boyfriend and I were considering giving it another try next month (as I grew up at Universal), but the prices for the parks are outrageous. For just two people for a one-day park-to-park pass, it would be over $500-- not including express passes (which you need nowadays) nor food (which is outrageously expensive and gross, too). It is a shame that this park is turning into Disney, a park that feeds off money and draining families.
I dropped some photos throughout the years of my family and I growing up along the years at Universal. Now, I am mourning the loss of my beloved theme park as I will not be returning due to the prices. The first photo taken was in 2006-- though I had been going since I was in a stroller. I don't have pictures of every year I went, but I have plenty of photos throughout the years, the most recent being this March with me in front of the Strip Cafe.
My first memorable year at Universal was when Earth, Wind, and Fire came to perform. We went every year as a family after that (even in 2020-- when our family had to wear masks in the park due to Universal protocol) until 2021-- due to prices sky-rocketing. We also used to stay at Hardrock and Royal Pacific for roughly 23 years (my latest being last year).
