Amazing and adventurous Horse riding trip - Amazing experience! My sister and I enjoyed the ride to the black sand beach and along the water too! Our guide, Bjorn, was friendly and helpful. We loved the Icelandic horses. Highly recommend this experience for an authentic, wonderful Icelandic excursion.

We recommend! - We did the "family tour" with our 4 and a half year old daughter, riding in the front of my saddle. Nice one-hour tour in the meadows along the coast during a clearing between two rains. No time to be bored with dynamic and pleasant horses. Magnus, even though he speaks English as much as we speak Icelandic, was great especially with our little one. Very attentive to us. A great meeting with both him and his horses.

Local immersion 🤍 - Magnus an amazing man, does not speak English but we managed to understand each other. Nice horse riding, very friendly person, not busy for him today so we did extra hour with the horses. We also spent 2h alone with 10 horses in their field which was amazing. It's not touristic at all so don't be in a rush, enjoy as a local not as a tourist. Great time and fun we had!

Fab little moss field trek - Lovely little 1hr ride through the moss fields today. Horses were comfortable, well cared for. Better than others we'd rejected... Located in an edge of town area by a mine but it was fine. Very helpful and amenable host. English not very strong but we understood. Plenty of opportunity for our children to ride unguided and quickly supported if they were nervous. Health and safety levels traditionally Icelandic but efficient. My 10yr old son now LOVES horseriding whereas he'd been afraid in the UK.

Family tour - Booked the 2 hour family trip. The guide was nice and the horses were friendly and in very good condition. The ride went on in the local area. We were a mix of experienced and unexperienced riders. Although we paid for a two hour ride it was shorten down to just one hour and additional 20 minutes to prepare the horses. The guide explained this was due to safety reasons because of unexperienced riders. There was no information about this at their home page. We got only half of what we paid for, I feel a bit scammed. I recommend this place only for experienced riders.

Not quite as advertised - Long (45 min) but scenic ride to the farm where the horses were saddled and ready to go. We rode for about an hour through lava fields on a cold windy day but didn’t see much else except for a salmon processing plant and some construction. Magnus, the owner, was very nice but doesn’t speak English, so communication was difficult. And, after arriving at the farm, we were told there would be an additional, $75 charge for transportation to and from our cruise ship in Reykjavik. This was totally unanticipated and not described on the Viator website. Thankfully, we had our credit cards and were able to get the money at a local cash machine; otherwise getting back to the ship may have been problematic! Not cool.
