Top bike tour of Italy. - Spent the day with Paolo riding in the morning through the Umbría landscape, enjoying the trees, and a ground view experience with the different crops grown along the way to Civita.
Our trip started at the old monastery now a hotel. For lovers of history, this is a fantastic starting point Paolo has picked.
The Umbría countryside then took center stage with Paolo setting the pace for us on his e bikes. Very quickly, you learn the fastest gearing for your pedaling p the hills and across the short valleys.
Upon arriving at Civita de Bagnoregio, we parked our bikes and walked across a bridge to the ancient village where the homes and shops were just a step away from the road. This is a great cultural experience.
We headed back to our parking spot by a state road route and passed some interesting homes and additional forest landscape.
All in all, a super good day (5 hrs) and some healthy exercise coupled with a beautiful landscape and a incredible guide.
Lunch was at the Cantina Foresi next to the Duomo. Allesandro and his family have a historical experience you have to see. I won't spoil it for you. The food was scrumptious and topped our hearts with deliciousness. They have a delicious wine menu and we bought several bottles to keep back at the hotel.
Overall 10 of 10.

Countryside views and wonderful history. - This was one of the best tours we have and it was on e bikes. Paolo, our guide was incredible. He had so much great information on local buildings and history. There was a great opportunity to visit an non-use monastery now hotel as we left Orvieto.
The tour began shortly after and was a total of 14 Mile's one way. This bike tour is for those who are in good shape. Seriously. I ride my stationary bike 3 times a week and still was sore after the ride. The ebikes were a real treat and learning the gears certainly helped make the ride smoother. The equipment was in perfect condition.
I would go this again with Paolo especially since we are taking residence in Orvieto soon. Sign up, you won't be disappointed. RR

A Beautiful Day - This was a wonderful experience and Paolo was a great guide. He was very helpful with me, since I had never used an E-bike. We had a beautiful day, stopping to meet donkeys and sheep, have coffee and learn some local history. We visited an Abbey with a twelve-sided tower that is now a hotel. We spent time at the Civita, exploring and learning about the history of the church there. We took photos and rode back a different way. We ended with a lovely lunch and wine by the Duomo in Orvieto. Could not have been a nicer day.

Fun day e-biking to Civita through the coutryside - Loads of fun with Paolo. He drove us to an interesting castle where we saw three eras of building. We e-biked through beautiful and peaceful scenery of vineyards, olive groves, wheat and fava beans. We also biked to Civita di Bagnoregio – the City in the Sky – and Paolo pointed out a number of interesting aspects of Civita and its church. After the bike ride, on the drive back to Orvieto, we stopped where we had a view of the town. Lunch was so-so, but with a great view of the Duomo façade. It was a very fun day. Paolo was so interesting and informative.

Excellent. Do it! - Paulo was fabulous a very friendly and knowledgable man keen to ensure everyone enjoyed their tour. Bikes were great, cycled through lovely countryside albeit a bit foggy to start (Oct)! Ended with an enjoyable lunch in the Piazza next to the Duomo. Highly recommend this tour a fun day out!

Wonderful morning ! - Had an excellent (private, by accident!) tour riding e-bikes to Civita. End to end the experience was about 4h (not 6h as advertised) perhaps because it was only us two (but I didn’t mind). Gorgeous scenery riding in the countryside, and Civita was very interesting. The “light” lunch advertised was actually quite filling and a full meal in my opinion! A delicious sampling from a restaurant close to the Duomo in Orvieto. Note you must ride the funicular down to meet your guide, but will be driven into town once the ride is over. Plenty of stops to take pics, etc. I’d recommend this activity to anyone, as the E-bike provides plenty of lift even if you’re not athletically inclined. However the walk into Civita is quite steep so keep that in mind. Would definitely book this again.

5 Star E-bike Tour from Orvieto to Civita in the Sky - Riding thru vineyards, olive groves, Umbria countryside was so magical. Paolo, the owner, took care of every detail from picking us up at the train station, driving us to a location to get the e-bikes, talking about the many hidden gems of Orvieto and surrounding areas. Two outstanding guides, Riccardo and Georgo, led us thru the countryside all the way to Civita and then back to Orvieto. The tour culminates in enjoying a delicious lunch with wine and all the food you could imagine all the while looking at the Duomo in Orvieto. It was more than I ever dreamed. The entire experience was a pinch-me moment. The e-bikes make it very easy for every level of bike rider to enjoy this tour. Don’t miss this bike tour with OrvietoBikeTour. You will thank me later.

A delightful ride - My husband and I took this E-Bike tour and would highly recommend it. The weather was beautiful and we would not have been able to see the incredible scenery that we did. Our guide, Paolo was great and shared his knowledge of the area. The E-Bikes are in great shape and were easy to ride. Our reward at the end of the ride was a delightful lunch back at Orvieto right on the plaza. These folks run a first class operation and clearly enjoy what they do.

Definitely a highlight of our week! - Our group of 6 had a great time on the bike trip. It didn't seem like sizes of people provided ahead of the trip were taken into consideration on equipment provided and our guide didn't have tools to adjust seat height but in general we made do. Tour itself took us on beautiful roads and throughout Bagnoregio. Tour guide could have been more helpful on tips for our rider who fell a few different times getting on or off the bike and being more attentive to her, and it would have been good if he had a first aid kit with him.
The tour itself was excellent and really was a highlight of our week spent in Umbria!
