Exceptional tour! - Our tour with Alessandro was exceptional! It was my favorite tour of our trip. It was paced well … never feeling too rushed and giving us a little time to explore on our own too. Alessandro customized the tour for us, depending on what interested us and our schedule. The restaurant he recommended was excellent. Alessandro was kind and patient and made us feel at ease. I loved everything we did/saw on the tour and would highly recommend it. (Reviewed at: 2024-03-18)

The Enigmatic Civita di Bagnoregio
A short journey from Orvieto lies Civita di Bagnoregio, a village seemingly frozen in time. Known as “The Dying City,” this enchanting locale is accessible only via a slender pedestrian bridge, adding to its mystique. The Private Day Tour offers a chance to explore this unique destination, with tours available from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
As you cross the bridge, the village unfolds like a scene from a fairy tale. The tuff rock foundations, continuously eroded by nature, lend an air of impermanence to the village, a reminder of the passage of time. Yet, despite its moniker, Civita di Bagnoregio thrives, drawing visitors from around the world to its picturesque streets and breathtaking panoramas.
The village’s Etruscan and medieval roots are evident in its architecture, each building a testament to the resilience of its inhabitants. As you wander through its narrow alleys, the past comes alive, a living museum of history and culture. A review from February 2022 captures the essence of this magical place:
Relaxing, enjoyable day trip with Alessandro - We enjoyed a nice day trip outside of Rome to Lake Bolsena and Civita. Alessandro customized the trip for us, we skipped Orvieto since we had visited before, and decided on Lake Bolsena instead. Alessandro was well-prepared, he picked us up at our hotel in Rome on time, and provided brochures on the towns we were going to visit which I appreciated. Civita di Bagnoregio was amazing and we visited in winter! I’m sure in summer it’s hopping! (Reviewed at: 2022-02-26)
