A great cooking class in Osaka. - Our hosts and teachers were very friendly and helpful. The cooking was interesting, educational, and delicious. We enjoyed talking with our teachers about life in Japan and the similarities between our families. It was a great way to spend a morning.

Fun home based cooking class. - Such a personal class with the 2 lovely ladies. We found they spoke very good English and made cooking our dishes fun. They were full of tips and encouragement. Being able to take a copy of the recipes was fantastic. Would highly recommend.

Japanese Homecooking - Fantastic experience cooking everyday Japanese food with two experienced Japanese ladies. I did the ginger pork menu, we also made Miso soup and Tamagoyaki, all fantastic. As desert I got a Sakur rice ball desert which was so goo, I bought some to take them home with me to Eurooe. Tip: I got to try their calligraphy course, which was a lot of fun.

A perfect experience - The whole experience could not have been better. Hisako and Naoko are superb hosts, experienced cooks, and the kindest people that you could meet. I loved my lesson, and I learnt so much. I wanted to learn more about some very basic Japanese cookery - rolled omelette, dashi, miso soup, onigiri - and the lesson delivered all that and more. I wanted to learn about what basic ingredients I should take home with me, and within half an hour of leaving them, I had bought these at a local supermarket. They even managed to book me in to the restaurant I wanted to go to that evening (my last in Japan), when I hadn't been able to get a table. Now back home, I've started to cook these dishes for my family, with the correct ingredients, and the correct equipment. Perfect. Thank you Hisako and Naoko so much.

Such a great experience cooking with Hisako and Naoko! Highly recommended! - We had such a great time with Hisako and Naoko! We chose to make the bento box because I figured there were lots of small elements that could be easily recreated when we got home. Everything was very clearly explained by Hisako and Naoko and they were very sweet and encouraging even when our cooking skills were falling a bit short ;) They are the kindest ladies and are very welcoming and easy to talk to. They are fantastic hosts! Everything is well organised and they gave us printed out copies of all the items we made and even a little bento box each to take home. The location of the class is in a quieter, residential part of the city, but is easily accessible on the subway. It was nice to see a less touristy area. And we even saw a really cute shiba inu (!) Definitely recommend this experience. It was very relaxing and a nice break from the fast pace of a city vacation.

Udon and Tempura - April 2024. I made tempura and Udon. We made everything from scratch. I have never fried anything before and it turned out really well! I think I can now make this at home. The ladies were very friendly and helpful. The class is in the SGS building.
