Beautiful Views - It was an easy and pleasant way to get to hard to reach places like Ine. The views were amazing, it was well-paced and our tour guide Jay was fantastic: funny, knowledgeable and organised.

Nice day in AmanoHashidate and Ine - An easy and practical way to discover the beautiful villages of AmanoHashidate and Ine! We unfortunately couldn't do the boat tour in Ine because it was snowing too much, but we still had a wonderful time. Thanks to our guide Jay for the day!

Great opportunity to see Kyoto's coast! - First we drove through beautiful scenery and forests, which was an opportunity to discover the beautiful landscape of Japan. Autumn is the best season to admire the yellow, red and green colours of the forests! Then, we went on a cable car to admire the outstanding beauty of this coast at Amanohashidate, then we went to visit a fishermen village built on stilts. This was an unique experience and our guide was very knowledgeable and very funny too.

Fantastic and flawlessly executed day trip! - Our host Lily was a gracious, friendly and knowledgeable guide. Our tour bus driver was smooth and accomodations comfortable. This tour turned a difficult to plan day trip into a breeze, especially since we were staying in namba and other public transport options started quite far away. Multi lingual translations, Chinese and English, were the cherry on top.

Not worth it in our opinion - Our tour guide was Leo. The itinerary was the following (pickup from Kyoto station), 09:50 Pickup from Kyoto Station 09:50-11:50 Bus 11:50-14:00 Amanohashidate* 14:00-14:45 Bus 14:45-15:15 Area outside of Ine** 15:15-15:30 Bus 15:30-16:00 Ine 16:00-18:00 Bus 18:00 Returned to Kyoto Station Total drive time = ~5h Total stop time = ~3h *Some people booked a cable car for a scenic view of Amanohashidate during our 2h stay there. We were unaware of this as this was not an addable option through Viator (to our knowledge). Halfway through the 2h stay, our tour guide Leo texted us saying that if you took the cable car without the help of this tour company, you’ll still owe them 850 Yen per person. Unsure as to why, but just FYI. **Another option we were unaware of was taking a boat ride from an area outside of Ine to view the town by boat. Again this was not an addable option through Viator (to our knowledge). The bus was parked, Leo asked all people with boat reservations to follow him, and the rest were left there to sit. We had to find Leo to find out we were just allowed to roam until 15:15. Regarding both tour options above, they were unaware of who booked what because of a “fault in their system”. For this reason, they were having to determine all of this during the bus ride. During the bus ride, there was no information given on the areas, history, or anything. Expect lots of text messages from Leo during your limited time at these spots. Overall we booked this tour because we had a free day, figured why not. It was not worth it in our opinion.
