- グランドメゾン松屋町壱番館 - This is a wonderful chance to delve into traditional culture and cuisine. Osaka is renowned as a culinary paradise, making it an ideal location to participate in a cooking class and learn to prepare authentic Japanese dishes. Masato began his culinary journey by introducing Hawaiian cuisine to Japan, and now he is sharing Takoyaki, Osaka’s iconic dish, with travelers visiting Japan. In a 3-hour hands-on Japanese cooking class, participants will learn to create 2-3 dishes from scratch. If the sushi class is selected, participants will learn to make maki sushi, chirashi sushi, and California rolls. If the Osaka course is chosen, participants will learn to make takoyaki (a ball-shaped Japanese snack made from a wheat flour-based batter) using a takoyaki maker. Please inform Masato of your menu preference when booking your Osaka cooking class. After cooking, enjoy the meal you helped prepare, served with Japanese green tea.
If the market tour option is selected: Masato will guide you through the nearby Karahori Shotengai market, a covered shopping street filled with small stalls offering vegetables, fresh food, and condiments.
On days when Masato is unavailable, his partner chef will host the class.
