Kendo Experience (Kendo striking practice): Don Kendo protective gear such as Dogi/Hakama (uniform), Men (mask), Kote (arm guards), Do (torso guard), and Tare (leg guard). Use a Shinai (bamboo sword) to practice striking. Engage in striking and competition following match formats. Due to the complexity of Kendo, younger children (ages three to five) will primarily focus on changing clothes and taking photos.

Our dojo is also a samurai museum, showcasing a variety of samurai artifacts and memorabilia. Take photos and videos with these authentic props, creating unforgettable memories. Enjoy the convenience of our facilities, including showers, air conditioning and heating, and changing rooms. Our dojo is conveniently located in Osaka City, making it easy to access. Our instructor, a native of Osaka, can also provide recommendations for exploring the city’s many attractions.

Exit 11 of Tenjimbashisuji 6-chome Station. You will see a Family Mart on your left side. Turn left at the next intersection (Tenjimbashi 7). Turn left into the first narrow alleyway past the third Family Mart. Turn right at the first corner and you will see the building on your right.

An incredible time. - Absolutely incredible time, it was so much fun learning the history of kendo and samurai. The instructors were so much fun and so nice to speak with. Definitely a highlight of my trip.

Super informative and fun experience! - This was an amazing experience! Toshi and Kumi were super informative and taught us about the Kendo tradition. It was super fun for everyone and they gave us snacks after! We got to do a series of exercises and wear the traditional attire, while they explained everything to us. Definitely recommend!

An Amazing Time! - One of the best experiences I’ve had in Japan, everyone was so kind and willing to teach. The history of Kendo is beautiful and of the Samurai. The instructors were amazing and it was so much fun. Be prepared to have a good sweat in! If you’re into sports and physical activity this is especially for you. Very beginner friendly as well!

Best Kendo Experience In Osaka - The kendo instructor was extremely helpful and humorous. The staff at the dojo were also very nice and friendly as well. They made sure we were comfortable at all times. Classes were informative and fun at the same time! We had many opportunities to take pictures with the kendo gear and equipments at the dojo as well. 10/10 will recommend this to anyone who wants to experience kendo in a relaxed and fun way.

SAMURAI IN OSAKA - The class was amazing and a great experience. The instructor was very kind and knowledgeable. Not to mention he was extremely funny when teaching us .Taught us all the ins and outs of Kendo and fitted us with all the proper kendo gear so as to have the most realistic experience . Would 100% recommend to anyone who comes to Osaka to sign up for a glass. I would come back for another class whenever I make a trip to Japan again!!

Great Kendo Experience, Highly Recommend - It was an amazing experience. The instructor was very attentive. He demonstrated and explained all the techniques very clearly. We were able to practice the techniques as well as do a little combat showing off all we learnt. Very hands on. My partner and I had a lot of fun. I would highly recommend. 5* for the experience and the atmosphere.

Samourai Kendo in October - Excellent teacher and experience. A must do In Osaka for a fun afternoon. The teacher is very helpful and the team speaks good English. You get a lot of opportunities to learn the basics and do your first fight as well as taking nice pictures with the real kendo outfits. If you visit Osaka castle in the morning you will definitely be primed to be a samurai In the afternoon. Lots of fun definitely recommend.

We went with a family of three. - I was very nervous at first because it was something that I had never experienced before, but I learned a very valuable culture and history of the Japanese samurai.
Inside the dojo, there are ancient Japanese swords, bamboo swords, wooden swords, and an armor lined up, and just looking at them is exciting.
The teacher who taught me was very kind and changed the level of the teaching depending on the students, so I felt at ease. You'll sweat a lot but it is ok because they will lent you free clothes to change into before starting. showers was clean.
There were adorable uniforms for children and my 2-year-old child also had great fun! was so cute, and a good valuable experience.
I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Japan.
