Recommended when sightseeing in Osaka - My first tea ceremony experience I had a very meaningful time. You can experience Japanese culture more by wearing a kimono. The kimono can be worn over the clothes, and since it is a separate type, it can be worn very quickly. They explained the procedure and culture of the tea ceremony in an easy-to-understand way, and because it is a small group, we were able to enjoy tea quietly and slowly. The tea and sweets were very good. I highly recommend this experience when you visit Osaka.

Fun, interesting, would do again - It was very quaint and was a nice look into historical tea ceremony would be like. They were very accommodating, extremely pleasant, and very nice! They showed us how to make our own tea, showed us part of a ceremony, and showed us the correct way to drink tea. Overall, my wife and I liked it very much and would recommend it to others looking for a peak into the history of tea ceremonies.

Highly Recommended: Educational and Fun - When I initially made my family's reservations, I wasn't sure if I was choosing the best tea ceremony experience. There are many tea ceremony experiences offered in Osaka and Kyoto. While the reviews were excellent, there were fewer than a half dozen reviews on Tripadvisor at the time I made my reservation. In addition, the tea ceremony is located in a modern hotel (a Sheraton) so I wasn't sure how authentic the experience would feel. It turned out that the excellent reviews on Tripadvisor were correct and I am joining them to give this tea ceremony experience five stars. As for the location, once you enter the tea ceremony experience entrance, it felt like an authentic traditional Japanese tea room. Part of the tea ceremony experience is dressing in kimonos. They put kimonos over the clothes you wear to the experience. Dressing up in kimonos was very fun for my family and we got to take many pictures after the experience. There were multiple staff participating and they were all kind and helpful. There was an English speaking host who explained the tea ceremony during each step. We learned about the traditions and customs of the tea ceremony. There was the tea ceremony master who patiently showed us how to make matcha tea and how it is served and sipped. We sampled Japanese treats along with the tea. Any and all questions were happily answered by the staff. As we exited, we were warmly thanked by all of the staff. This was one of the best experiences we had during our two week vacation in Japan. I highly recommend going to a tea ceremony experience (with kimonos) and especially highly recommend this Tea Ceremony Experience in the Sheraton Miyako Hotel Osaka.

A great tea time - This was my first time attending a tea ceremony, and it was such an amazing experience! The moderator was super nice and made everything easy to understand, explaining step-by-step how to hold the teacup and the gestures to enjoy it. The host was calm and professional, carrying out each part of the ceremony with so much care and grace. The atmosphere was peaceful, and every little detail felt special. I also really loved the sweets! Totally recommended!

Relaxing and wonderful - The experience was wonderful and everyone was extremely welcoming. It is English friendly, I had a great chat with Erica. It was fascinating to learn about the process with a small presentation as well as mixing green tea on our own. We even received printed out photos of our time. Everyone should try the ceremony at least once while in Japan!

Awesome Tea Ceremony Lesson!!! - Oh my gosh, I learned so very much from the tea ceremony experience on that day alone. I was a bit nervous since I had never attended one but the instructor was super friendly and explained everything so clearly. If you are thinking to attend one, I highly recommend this one! Arigato! I super enjoyed one of the oldest Japanese cultures.
