- Sheraton Miyako Hotel Osaka - Our tea ceremony will be held in a traditional tea room on the 4th floor of SHERATON MIYAKO HOTEL OSAKA. A certified tea ceremony master will teach you. We have rental kimonos available. This is a kimono that you can easily wear by yourself. Wear it over your clothes. Learn about the culture, traditions, and etiquette of the tea ceremony from your teacher, watch the ceremony, and enjoy matcha and Japanese sweets. You can also make your own matcha and drink it. By participating in the experience, you will learn how to enjoy matcha, and you can enjoy it at home as well. Please feel free to contact us for reservations or questions. You will be seated on the tatami. Of course, you are welcome to sit on a chair if you wish. We also provide cushion, so you won’t be forced to sit straight. Enjoy authentic Japanese tea culture. Please note that you will not be able to enter the room after class has started.

The tea ceremony is not just about drinking tea; it is also a means of spiritual enlightenment.
Experience a Japanese tea ceremony while wearing a kimono for an authentic taste of traditional Japan. Suitable kimono options are available for women and men, and you receive guidance on how to wear the provided kimono. Once you have donned the kimono, your tea master starts the tea ceremony. The tea ceremony instructor will explain the culture and history of the tea ceremony and then make tea for you. In the end, you can experience making tea yourself.
This package includes green tea and Japanese sweets,（two of each） with ample time for photo ops.
- For children, we offer decaffeinated matcha milk. Please contact us in advance.
- Sweets are made using wheat flour. If you have an allergy, we will accommodate you with fruit. Please contact us in advance.

Tea ceremony - Very informative experience to learn about traditional Japanese tea ceremony. The kimonos you get to wear are so cute. The people that perform it are kind. They gave my mom a surprise birthday present as well! So sweet.

Tea Ceremony in Japan - They made the experience one to remember. I went by myself and had a personal tea ceremony experience and it was one of my Japan highlights. They were so nice and really took the time to explain everything to me in English. It was really amazing! I would recommend this to anyone looking for learn.

Tea Ceremony experience - We had never worn a kimono or drank Matcha tea at a tea ceremony before.
My sister and l had a most wonderful experience wearing the kimono and participating in the ceremony.
The master tea maker has many decades experience in this ceremony and made it very intentionally.
We enjoyed the sweets provided and thankful for the assistance of the others who dressed us in our kimono, interpreting and taking many photos.

Wonderful tea ceremony in Osaka - Wonderful overview of the traditional tea ceremony with a chance to experience tea made by a master and making it yourself. They also include kimonos to wear during the experience that make you feel the part! The location is within the Sheraton so convenient and easy to find, but the room itself feels very traditional. All of the staff are kind and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Authentic and professional tea ceremony experience in the middle of Osaka - We had an authentic, professional and very pleasant experience. If you would like to enjoy in comfortable settings a tea ceremony, but in the traditional way, we would definitely recommend this event. The warm welcome, the openness of the stuff, the kind assistance makes you feel relaxed. We were guided gently and kind, how to wear a kimono, how to behave, what to expect at a tea ceremony. Everything was nicely explained, but we could still enjoy our amazingly prepared tea and Japanese desserts. The tea master is deeply dedicated to his profession, and it's also a pleasure just to watch him, how he prepares everything. You really get the full, ceremonial experience! Maybe you will wonder, how this could be authentic in a modern hotel in Osaka, but there is a complete traditional tea house built on the 4th floor of the hotel. The Japanese garden is beautiful. The ikebana in the tea room was wonderful, the whole atmosphere was serene and calm. We feel us very well and relaxed. You wouldn't expect such a peaceful place in the middle of a big city. But first of all we must to highlight the friendly, nice and wonderful stuff. Thanks a lot introducing us the art and craft of this tradition, and also for the wonderful pleasure to meet you and to have a tea for the Japanese way! Okini!!!! 😊

Fabulous experiece for families - This is one of the best experiences that I would recommend for families. The host kayo, Kaori, sota and tea master Kagore were very sweet and pleasant. I would highly recommend this experience for families
