Perfect Blend of Crafty and History - A lovely, fun and interesting experience. It was great adding something different into our trip and being able to learn a new skill/craft while learning about the history also.
If you are looking to add something of a slower pace in a busy trip to Japan I would highly recommend this class.

Amazing teacher and so fun! - Mika was the best teacher and so sweet! She provided all necessary materials and sent me home with some as well. She was an absolute joy to be around!!

Learning to sew a temari ball. - Mika-san was so patient and kind! She gave us a brief history of the temari ball, then led us thru the ways to make a stitch and design. She provided us with supplies and now we are inspired to complete the other side of the temari ball on our own!!
Thank you for providing this experience! It was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon!

An amazing craft activity - It was my second trip in Japan and I wanted to try a craft activity. It was a fun experience, Mika was so kind and teach us how to embroider Temaris and the history of this art.
I recommend you this experience, it will be a amazing moment during your discovering of Japan !

A Beautiful Craft - We had such a lovely experience with Mika! She's a great teacher with excellent English and really sweet. She gave us a brief intro into the history of temari then taught us how to make them. It was very relaxing and has left us with a beautiful, unique souvenir. Definitely a highlight of our trip to Japan!

Interesting history... - Interesting history lesson and fun activity to break up the bustle of Osaka. The teacher knew some English, making it easy to learn and have some small conversations.

Temari in Osaka - Mika was super nice and talented! She gave us an understanding of the origins of the temari ball and its current status as a decorative ornament. She was very helpful in teaching us how to do the stitches. Awesome activity!

Learning to make a beautiful Temari ball with Mika San. - It was a delightful experience- Mika San gave us very good explanation. The Temari ball turned out so pretty. Mika San is very talented and kind. It was a very nice afternoon spent in her company and learning a new traditional Japanese craft. Thank you!

Amazing learning experience with a great teacher - The instructor was very skilled, good at explaining, and incredibly patient.
My fiancé and I signed up for this course without any prior needlework experience and were able to spend 2 peaceful hours in Osaka learning various techniques and the history of Temari.
The instructor takes a lot of care into her classes and prior to each class, takes at least 1 hour per ball to make sure they are round. Moreover, she makes the balls with rice husks and wraps it with organic cotton threads that she dyes herself in her kitchen!
Truly a hidden gem that I cannot recommend enough.

Fantastic workshop - Had such a wonderful time with Mika. She expertly explains the process and gives an interesting overview of the history and importance of temari. I can highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in learning more about Japan and making a beautiful souvenir.
