Great walking tour! - My wife booked this the Osaka Castle Walking Tour and our guide was Hikaru and we had a wonderful time. Hikaru speaks perfect English and did a great job telling the story of Nobu, Hike, and Tokugawa and the history of Osaka Castle. She also knew all the best places to stop and take pictures, and even walked us to the best spot to grab an Uber after our tour was complete. 10/10 would recommend this tour!

Aya is the Osaka guide for you! - Osaka castle is a beautiful stroll through Osaka history! I would recommend Aya from guidemejapan first and foremost. She is so knowledgeable and catered to our needs as a family on a very hot day in July! Remember that the tour does not include tickets into the castle. We didn’t mind it but if you are going, book early in the morning! It is beautiful and knowing more about it was key. Thank you Aya! You really made our tour and day an easy one!

A Fine Walking Tour - A fine tour but it would be nice to include going inside the Castle as well. Our guide was very friendly and helpful.

Lovely experience - Great tour. Our tour guide Miri was very nice and kept an easy pace. The outside of the castle is gorgeous. We would have like to see the inside but the line was already long at 9 am.

Great tour of a beautiful castle - Osaka Castle is beautiful and a highlight of our visit to Osaka. This castle has been rebuilt, so it has modern stairs and elevator inside. You can take the elevator up to the 5th floor and then climb the remaining floors up to the 8th floor. It's also a modern style museum inside the castle and has a gift shop on the top floor. However, please note this tour is only an OUTSIDE walk around the castle. This tour does NOT go INSIDE the castle, but that's totally fine. Our tour guide, Shizuka, did a good job. She spent two years living in Colorado, so she spoke English well. I appreciated that she carried a small binder / flip book with her with pictures to explain the key personalities in Japanese history that were involved in building the previous castle and the current castle. Shizuka led us to the best places to take pictures, and at the end she escorted us to the entrance so we could go see the inside of the castle on our own. ***Note: Buy your tickets for the inside castle ahead of time on the castle website. There was a line of people waiting to buy tickets to go inside, but if you buy your tickets in advance, you can just walk up to the front of the line and show your QR code on your phone. Once you buy your tickets, the tickets are good for 30 days, so you don't need to specify a day and time for your tour.
