Awesome experience in Osaka with Kieran - We had an awesome time exploring several places in Osaka with Kieran. He was very knowledgeable about the food, drink, places we went and Japanese traditions. We took 9 tours on our two week trip in Japan including ones in Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto and Hakone and this was by far the best. It made a massive difference that he spoke English perfectly as well as Japanese of course and he could explain so many things for us from both a Japanese and “Western” perspective so that we could understand the “why” behind more of things we saw and discuss Japanese life and customs. We loved the market in Dotombori where we tried a variety of food. The shrine with the statue covered in moss was one of the highlight stops on our tour. It was just tucked away as we wove through the streets - really cool. Our favorite activity was walking through the streets underground and hanging out with Kieran at a nice whisky bar where we tastes a variety of Japanese whisky. Definitely the highlight of our two weeks in Japan. Thanks Kieran.

Can’t say enough good things! - Highly recommend! We really enjoyed our day with Kieran! Since he is Canadian living in Japan, his English is perfect and he is pretty fluent in the Japanese language and history. We truly enjoyed the historical and daily life information he shared. I wish we were here longer to enjoy seeing more sites with him!

A great experience - Kieran met Annie and I at the cruise ship terminal on time. He was very knowledgeable about Japan history. We saw lots of interesting sites. We were able to absorb the local culture as we travelled through different parts of the city.
We were thrilled with our time spent with Kieran.
We highly recommend him.

Kiran is a GREAT guide! Love Osaka! - Kieran is a GREAT guide! He is very knowledgeable about the places we visited, both in the history, and in the best places to take pix! We’re new to private touring. He helped us out looking for things we needed along the way too. He is very accommodating and very nice! We didn’t know what to expect and now we love Osaka & can’t wait to come back!

Start here. - 100% recommend. This was my first time visiting Osaka so I didn’t know where to start or what to expect. Kieran was a wonderful guide and made exploring Osaka so much fun. I’m amazed at the amount of information he shared with me throughout the tour. It was a beautiful day, the guide was great company, and this tour was the perfect introduction to Osaka.

Like you're being guided around town by a friend! - This was one of the best tours we've ever had. Kieren was personable, communicative, and knowledgeable. It felt like a friend was leading us around the sites. He answered all our questions ranging from history, culture, politics, to every day living as a foreigner living in Japan. He also customized our tour to fit our group's interests and met us at our hotel. On top of that, he knew when to slow the pace of our tour and to take breaks as the heat and humidity wore us down throughout the day.
In addition to the touristy sites and neighborhoods, we were also able to visit more off the beaten path areas of Osaka. One of the most enjoyable parts of the tour was the conversations and discussions we had about what life in Japan has been like for someone not born into Japanese society. It felt as if I was talking to a buddy and that connection is what made Osaka memorable for me and my friends.
(And Kieren, if you're reading this and ever decide to visit San Francisco, our offer definitely still stands to be your personal tour guide!)

Incredibly helpful and informative guide! - This was our third tour in Japan and it was by far the best! Our guide was so accommodating to all our requests (we had lots!) and we felt like we really had an authentic experience of Osaka and Japan! We will definitely book this tour again if we come back to Japan!
