Exceptional - This tour was a wonderful experience. Our tour guide Yoshii is eminently knowledgeable about Japan, its history, and the significance of each site on the tour. He met us at our hotel as advertised, provided an overview of Japan and our plan for the day. It was great fun to walk around to see many Osaka’s sites, and he led us to the trains we needed to reach Osaka Castle and Umeda Sky Building. We stopped for lunch where he provided menu suggestions. He took many photos of our time on the tour. He provided a much need tutorial of the Osaka train system. Yoshii is a great teacher, and he has very impressive credentials. Scott Marston

Biggest smile of the year award! - My camera couldn't keep up! Our guide Sachiko Ogura was fantastic. Kind, knowledgable, friendly, and patient. We trekked through Dotonbori, strolled through shrines and temples, scaled Osaka-Jo and stuffed our heads with every tidbit along the way. 130 ton Osaka-Jo stones? Check. Proper temple edicit? Sure: Left, right, left, right-handle. Though you'll learn some Japanese, Sachiko's translation had us covered for everything else. Now, Kimono talk. Try it! Alone the rental process might've been confusing. You have to take almost everything off to get started and then they dress you. If you have a big personal bubble be warned. Wear flip-flops/sandals a ton like us? You're set. If not, bring your shoes, they have bags for them (thanks again Sachiko for the tip). Its a walking, WALKING, tour. Just that can be tricky, add in the Kimono and Zori (sandals) and it can be a challenge. We had zero issues but "YMMV". A great guide who checks if you're tired helps. On two occasions stranges complimented my wife in her Kimono (Sachiko-translated). One even asked for a photo with her. This trip takes the "Wife's biggest smile for the year" award by far! That alone was worth it. tl:dr summary + Amazing fun, laughs, big smiles + Great location variety + JGA guide, Sachiko, was a perfect fit + Kimonos are head-turning excitment, for everyone + Fitness app says 21,344 steps in 6 hours + Kimono dress-up is a process - Food smells made us hungry - Walking made us hungry

Amazing tour of Osaka with our guide Miyuki - One of the absolute best guides and a necessity if you are first time visitor to Osaka. Our guide Miyuki was amazing. We would be completely lost without her guidance. She is also an extremely positive person and even though we were tired she made sure we saw all the sites that we had discussed and more. We also had a delicious buck wheat noodles lunch in a popular restaurant. I would highly recommend this tour and our guide Miyuki.

We had a wonderful stress... - We had a wonderful stress free day with Sachiko. In advance of our tour, she worked with us to create the itinerary, but also appreciated that she added stops like Hozinji Temple. Our tour included Doguyasuji kitchenware street, Koromon Market (where we snacked on awesome tuna sushi rolls, gyoza and tempura oysters), Tenjinbashi (the best mochi!) Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi. In addition to the tour, Sachiko made dinner reservations at an Osaka style restaurant, pre-ordered for us and did a practice run with us so we would know how to get there! We (party of 4) all agreed that our day with Sachiko was a highlight of our 2-week trip to Japan. We highly recommend Sachiko.
