Osaka tour - Our guide, Yama was very knowledgeable and had a good sense of humor. Osaka doesn't have as many noticeable historical or cultural landmarks compared to Kyoto or Tokyo, but Yama-san was able to find interesting points.

Excellent way to see Kyoto - We had a limited amount of time to see Kyoto and our guide Sachiko Ogura did a great job of guiding us through the Eikando Zenrinji temple, Fushimi Taisha shrine, Kiyomizudera temple and Nishiki food market. Sachiko is very familiar with the sites and the most logical approach to public transportation, so we were able to move quickly between sites and maximize our time at each location while avoiding crowds wherever possible. Lunch at the food market was a highlight. I highly recommend this tour.

not bad at all means - Our guide was friendly and we learned amazing facts about the osaka castle. Not a bad experience but we would have wanted more explanation on dotonbori and shinsekai as we were just walking silently through the streets with not much talking.

An excellent guide on a very busy tour of Osaka Castle and several districts of Osaka. - Our visit to Osaka was quite short, but we had an excellent guide, Sachiko, for our visit to Osaka Castle. Her knowledge of the history of the castle was impressive, and kept our interest going with interesting stories in excellent English. It was an extremely busy location but she managed to navigate us around the crowds very smartly. She took photos on her iPad in the key places and transferred them to our iPhones at the end of the tour - a very nice touch.

Excellent tour of Osaka with guide Saori - Our group of six arranged in advance through JGA for a tour of Osaka by Saori. We were on a Celebrity Cruise. Saori corresponded with us in advance to plan the trip. She is totally fluent in English and knows Osaka very well. She met us right on the pier and helped us navigate the simple metro system through the town. We toured Osaka Castle and the Dotonbori district. Saori gave a running explanation as we walked and took us to many interesting places. She knew the best places to sample street food and the best stores for shopping. Best of all, Saori has a cheerful personality and made our tour enjoyable. Outstanding guide!

We highly recommend an Osaka tour with Yuko! - Our door-to-door tour of Osaka with Yuko exceeded our expectations!!
Despite being able to navigate Japan on our own, we decided on this tour for the historical context.
Out tour included [the outside of] Osaka Castle, shinsekai, kuromon market and dotonburi. We would have a smaller itinerary had we went inside Osaka castle (we also decided to stay at our last stop instead of getting dropped back at our hotel, which saved time).
We were able to ask Yuko many questions about Osaka (and Japan in general), and she was not only extremely knowledgeable, but has a great understanding of the English language.
Yuko’s insight, preparation and organization of the tour is what we appreciated most as it added more depth to the experience than had we went on our own.

We Came, We Saw...We Conquered! - We had an enjoyable time exploring Osaka Castle and the Dotombori District with Saori!
Saori met us at the end of the cruise terminal and we took public transportation to Osaka Castle (she encouraged us to purchase a day pass for transportation). She arranged for the elderly people in our group to be escorted via lift to the top of the castle.
Before we arrived, she told us that we were going to 'conquer the castle.' After we left she said 'We conquered the castle!'
After leaving Osaka Castle, we journeyed to Dotombori District where we walked by tons of shops and restaurants. And before we knew it, our tour was over!
Saori was a fun guide and ensured that we were able to take as little or as much time as we needed throughout the tour. She even offered the option of extending the tour, but we opted out so that we could ensure a timely return to our cruise ship.

Busy Osaka - Osaka is a great city and we have a nice guide who tried to be helpful all the time and fit to our requirements. Yoshi knew very interesting facts and was very pleasant.
