Into the Heart of the Alay Mountains

The moment I set foot in Osh, Kyrgyzstan, I knew I was in for an adventure of a lifetime. The city, with its vibrant markets and rich history, was just the beginning. My real journey lay in the Alay Mountains, a place that promised to be as thrilling as any cliff dive or desert trek I had ever embarked upon. The Alay Mountains Trek was calling, and I was ready to answer.

Our group of thrill-seekers gathered at the agency office, buzzing with anticipation. We were a motley crew, united by our love for the unknown and the adrenaline that comes with it. As we drove towards Sary Mogul, the landscape began to change, revealing the majestic Pamir Mountains in the distance. The air was crisp, and the excitement was palpable.

The first day was all about acclimatization, a gentle introduction to the rugged beauty of the Alay Mountains. We trekked through open valleys, past yurt camps, and alongside grazing yaks and sheep.
