The most Unforgettable Day - I highly recommend this experience. It's expensive, but worth every penny. We had the most unforgettable day. Our driver was prompt, professional and friendly. We will be doing this again in the future.

An unexpected trip! - It was a last-minute decision to visit Eagle's Nest. All group tours were full, so we ended up taking a private day trip, and I'm glad that we did! Our first stop was Eagle's Nest. We booked a 10:35 bus up and a 1:05 bus down. We completed the tour early and took the 12:35 bus down. Since it was a private trip, we left the place earlier for our next destination, Königssee lake. At Königssee lake, we mistakenly booked a 2-hour boat ride instead of a 1-hour boat ride. I'm glad we made that mistake because the extended ride took us to the nicest part of Königssee. Again, being a private trip, our driver, Filip, just waited patiently for us. We didn't really visit Salzburg town. Instead, while on the boat, we learned from another tourist about a nice beer garden in Salzburg, Augustinerbräu Kloster Mülln. So we went there for a nice meal and, of course, beer!

Great day - A great day to get out of Munich on your own, with a private driver. I booked the day before the tour date. The booking company was very responsive, messaged me to purchase the Eagles Nest Bus Ride tickets within hours of me booking. That helped avoid a huge line the day of the tour. The driver was friendly, accommodating and on time. He was at our service, any stops we wanted to take and for how long. There was water in the car for us, which was a nice bonus with the heat in August. Perfect day!

What for the great experience we had - We had an amazing time with Jan. The best, and the most comfortable way to know more about the area of Eagles Nest and Salzburg even with additional stop at the konigsee. I would not hesitate to do it again. Highly recommend. Thank you a lot for all your knowledge you shared with us.

„Hired Driver“ - This was over $1.000 for a driver. He was fine. Friendly and professional. But it was literally just for the ride. A rental car would have been far less. One would have expected a sort of guide with interesting facts and whatnot for that price.

Driving service only - The two stops meant we had less time at each but a good way to squeeze a lot in for one day. We thought the driver would be a tour guide but it was just a car service- this was different from other trips we booked through Viator.

Not worth the money - We booked this private day trip to the Eagle’s Nest and Salzberg Fortress hoping for a luxurious experience on our honeymoon. We did not enjoy our experience and would not recommend it. The places we visited were beautiful however, we could easily have seen them on our own and had a better experience. All in all this experience felt like a very expensive taxi service and did not add to the trip to these locations at all. The day before the trip we confirmed the time of pick up with the company and our driver was prompt at pick up. We were told on this phone call to book our own tickets for the bus ride up to the Eagles Nest and that we would likely arrive there about 2.5 hours after pick up. We booked our tickets accordingly. Our driver drove very fast, weaving in and out of traffic and we arrived there in a little less than 2 hours. During the drop-off at the Eagle's nest our driver said we had 1 hour and we should meet back at the car after that hour. Our tickets that we booked to the summit were not until 11 am and we had arrived at 10 am. I told our driver one hour was not possible since we probably could not even get on a bus up by then. Also, the listing said 3 hours for this location. He seemed confused and said okay he would meet us back in 3 hours. Once we were done with the Eagle’s Nest we tried to meet up with him however his English was not very good and our cell service was spotty so finding him was a challenge. We found each other and he was under the impression that we were done for the day and were heading back to Munich. I informed him that we had another stop on this tour and that we were to go to Salzberg. He again seemed very confused and asked me for the address to the Fortress. I did not have this information and again the cell service was very spotty so I couldn't look it up. We found the address on his phone and he kept asking us if we were going to the right place (shouldn't he have known that?). Once we got to Salzberg he realized he couldn't go any further into town because apparently Salzberg is a pedestrian-only town and was asking us where to go. I finally got frustrated and told him “I don't know, you are supposed to know this”. He pulled over and we got ready to leave for the fortress. Again he said we had 1 hour here and my Husband said no. We were told 3 hours at each location. The driver seemed frustrated and confused and I went to show him the booking I had made and he shooed my hand and phone away and just said: “It’s fine It’s fine”. We left for the fortress feeling extremely frustrated and not in a good mood to really take in the beautiful scenery. We rushed through the fortress and met back with our driver who again sped us home. All in all, the more than 500$ / per person for this private experience was not worth it at all. We spent over 1000$ essentially for a taxi driver who did not know where he was going or what was going on.
