A different experience - I sat on the on Wharfside thinking if this experience would be worth it before I bought a ticket, and I'm pleased to say it was. Despite the cruise not being the most visually striking of cruises, it was pleasant none the less with crystal clear weather and glassy waters gliding the boat across the water. The cruise departed bang on time, with boarding starting about 10 minutes before departure and returned on time 2 hours later. The cruise works its way round the harbour area, which is fairly uninteresting, although context is given to a couple of buildings that can be found. From here the yacht sailed out into the fjord, passed some rocky islands, unique waterside houses, and a lighthouse as it circles back to dock again. Information is given in English over loudspeaker with a human guide, she was quite knowledgeable, and made parts of it humorous where relevant to sights of interest on the voyage. The yacht is small but has plenty of seating areas on the deck with long tables, which is where you will be spending most of your time. Views are also fairly unobstructed. Below deck is the toilet and a small refreshment area. I got myself a hot chocolate which was quite expensive, although it was a large glassful, as opposed to a small cup so I'm pleased to say I did get my money’s worth. They do offer small snacks such as warm waffles too. I was pleased to visit and see some sights that I wouldn't have otherwise been able too had I have not done this experience. Yes, it’s not quite the traditional Norwegian Fjord Cruise many picture, but is still nice to do, so expect to see vast waters, rocky outcrops, and if your lucky, Dolphins, seals or whales on the journey.

A great way to experience Oslo - This was an excellent boat trip and a great way to see the islands of Oslo. We were able to see things from a good view as the boat was able to get close to everything. Parts of it were very cold and windy, which you expect in Oslo in February!, but this didn’t take anything away from the enjoyable experience. Would highly recommend.

Fab tour and great staff. - I was sceptical about spending 2 hours on a boat, in the middle of January, in Norway, but can say that I am so glad we did. The boat was very nice and authentic but had was fitted electric heat lamps to help keep us warm. Blankets were also scattered around. The benches on the boat ended up being a little cramped, but once the tour was in swing and people were moving about the boat it became more comfortable. The staff were very knowledgeable and were more than happy to answer further questions that the tour raised. The journey around the fjord was beautiful and scenic, I appreciated the tidbits of information on how the fjord was created and the people who lived/live there. The full bar was great with delicious mulled wine, beers and a selection of food on offer. Would recommend this very well thought out and reasonably priced tour.

The sea scenery is really beautiful - It's worth taking a boat to see different Oslo from the sea, but remember to wear more clothes and keep warm, it feels colder than on land! You can also choose to disembark at Museum Island and continue visiting the museum! Please note that if the weather is bad, the boat trip will be temporarily canceled on the day. The safest way is to confirm the weather on the day before purchasing the boat ticket!

Fun way to see Oslo! - This is a fun, low-key excursion that gives you a great overview of Oslo history and lets you see many of the sights around the city. The ship is a old wooden yacht which was perfect for the cruise.
