If you prefer, you can stay on the tour for the full loop which takes approximately 90 minutes, or take advantage of the hop-on hop-off concept for a more personal look at Oslo’s most memorable sights! It’s really up to you, explore the city at your own pace. Enjoy panoramic views from the open-top deck and listen to fun and informative facts from the fantastic on-board audio commentary as you travel around.

Hop On - Next time I would probably hop off. - The bus was fine albeit sometimes it would stop for 5 minutes and other times it would stop from considerably longer. the driver actually asked us to change buses but he said he would be there for 30 minutes. The audio portion in English was disappointing, Too much time about Viking lore and not enough about the neighborhoods and the points of interest. Didn't also appear to be synced very well with what point of interest we were passing. Also in many cites the roof can come off, giving a better view to customers on the upper deck, This bus didn't appear to be able to remove the roof. I recognize that Oslo is an expensive city, but I thought the prices were high compared to other cities where we have used the Hop-On Hop-Off buses

Unimpressed with an overpriced “cab” ride - Frankly I was unimpressed, it was overprice for what I thought it was, or should have been. Driver seemed to be in a hurry, but It served a purpose, got to Fram museum and back to the ship and saw a bit of the city. Would not do it again!

Better to walk. - The service operates only from 10-4 and covers pretty much everything that you can see on foot anyway. I used it in September and the sun sets only around 7PM. If only they could help by maximizing that time. The frequency isn't very high so you end up wasting a lot of time just waiting and then they anyway shut. I'd recommend you rather walk around or book through the other provider who atleast has 2 routes.

Waste of money - The bus travels to the cruise terminal, opera, Akershus Fortress and the city center. A little outside is the Bygdoy peninsula with several museums and the Vigeland sculpture park on the program. We wasted a lot of time sitting on the bus at the stop because the driver took a break, tried to understand the disabled ramp system for over 20 minutes, or just walked away for 10 minutes without comment. The terminal, fortress, city centre and opera are close together and are ideal for a walk. Kontiki and Frammuseum can be reached easily and quickly than by hop-on bus with the museum ferry. In front of the Kontiki Museum, bus line 30 goes back to the opera. The rest of the peninsula's museums are located along the route. The sculpture park can also be easily reached by bus or tram from the city centre. Public transport in Oslo is more convenient, faster and significantly cheaper than the overpriced hop-on bus.

Took open buses out of service. - They put the open top bus we were on out of service. We had to get on a normal bus. Didn’t enjoy it. Not much to see that interested us.

Very poor service - It was a bad experience. When trying to first get on the bus I stood in the rain as the first three buses told me they were full and the bus behind would pick us up. After well over an hour I finally told the agent I wanted my money back whereupon he flagged down a bus and asked the driver to put us on. When I disembarked at stop six I decided to just use a city bus. Much more reliable and comfortable. I will not be recommending Hop On Hop Off Oslo to anyone. I bought five tickets at a cost of $260. Wasted money.

Mutiny on the buses - Seeing that the buses depart from the cruise ship, and being of limited mobility, this seemed an ideal way to get a glimpse of Oslo. Until we got to the end of the tour and the driver refused to take us back to the ship and started the tour again. Arguments broke out, the driver started shouting agressively at the passengers, who were insisting he take us back to where we started. The driver even saying he was only doing it to help a friend, and, at one point saying he didnt know the way! He eventually stopped at one of next stops and flounced off the bus. The ticket seller at that stop then took over the bus and eventually returned us to the cruise terminal. I trust that was the end of his employment with the company. I have used these buses all over Europe but will think twice in future. There are often alternative companies.

Feeling cheated - I have not gone on this tour and I write to complain about the misleading booking process. When I booked, it appeared that you need to give just one day's notice to cancel. When I went to cancel, the TripAdvisor website told me I would get a zero refund. I am attaching screenshots. The loss of hard-earned $$$ hurts. And there is no customer care number or email to write to that you can find on the TripAdvisor website. Be careful people
