• University of Oslo, Faculty of Law - The University of Oslo is located along Karl Johans gate, the main pedestrian street in Oslo. The building was constructed in the classical style and was the first university in Norway. During Christmas, University Square lights up with a giant Christmas tree.
• The Royal Palace - The Royal Palace is the official residence of the current Norwegian monarch. It is where the King presides over the Council of State, grants audiences, and holds official dinners. Together, we’ll stroll the grounds of The Royal Palace and visit one of Oslo’s cheerful Christmas markets.
• Karl Johans gate - Karl Johans gate is the main street of Oslo. It was named in honor of the King of Norway, Karl III Johan, who was also the King of Sweden, Karl XIV Johan. In addition to Karl Johans gate, Palace Hill (Slottsbakken) and Palace Place (Slottsplassen) cover 300 meters. Walk along Karl Johan gate and learn all there is to know about the Norwegian Santa “Julenissen” and his relation to the Norwegian’s pagan past.
