Maridalsvannet, also known as Lake Maridal, is Oslo’s largest lake and the primary source of the city’s drinking water. Its crystal-clear waters flow through the Akerselva River into the Oslo Fjord.
The adventure begins at the Oslo Visitor Centre located at Jernbanetorget in the city center. From there, participants will board the Vy train to Snippen Station.
This train ride offers spectacular scenery, so be sure to capture the breathtaking views! Upon arrival, the group will hike to a high hill, which involves some light climbing. The effort is rewarded with a stunning panoramic view: from Oslo’s cityscape to the sparkling waters of the Oslo Fjord, and the expansive, verdant countryside and forests that extend as far as the eye can see.
