A modern and effective city - Amazing city. New buildings, transport flow, a lot of modernity for Brazilians, but it's expensive. We watched a performance at the barbaric House Opera and we had no confusion to get in and out of the seats. Wonderful museums starting with Munch. Amei

Oslo on Foot - We made our first visit to Norway's capital, Oslo. Our guide met us at the ship and took us along the waterfront to see a little bit of the old part of the city, and a lot of the new part. There is a lot to see and a lot of ground to cover, so wear comfortable shoes! Our guide entertained us with tales of close encounters with Bill Clinton, and explained changes leading to a largely car-free downtown.

Knowledge of the guide - The guide Christina explained well what she know, honest and apologetic when she didn’t. She managed it well. Maybe she being new to the place would do well to improve her knowledge.

Not Quite What We Expected - Marta is a wonderful and friendly guide. On the day of our tour it was snowing and it seemed Marta didn't really want to be out in the elements. We walked underground through subway stations, came up saw a couple buildings, and then made our way to the Olso main library where we spent the second hour of our tour inside. It is a very impressive library, but I wasn't expecting to spend an hour walking within it. We had done tours like this one in Akureyri, Iceland and Tromsø, Norway on this trip, and each of those were better and lead by natives. Marta has been in Oslo for four years, so the tour was more of an ex-pat's view of Oslo, and not as immersed in the history and culture that comes with a native's perspective. Marta's tour wasn't bad, it was just Oslo-light. My suggestion would be to give specifics regarding what you expect from the tour. I didn't do that, and realize that's on me, and will in the future.
