Long day, but very enjoyable. Driver & guide were Great! - The whole trip was very nice. Our driver Arlo was a great guy and work way too hard. JR was our guide during the Whale Shark experience and lunch. She was pleasant and attentive. She made us feel like VIP the whole time. No waterfall though, I think they didn’t have enough rain or something. The day was long, so we didn’t miss it. The only tip is that for snorkeling, they give you goggle and snorkel but you have to rent the fin. No big deal. Just a note, they want 150 php at the sign in, but they rent them 75 php down the pier. I paid the extra, a little skin tax, I don’t mind.

Highly recommended! - We booked a private tour with the Oslob whale shark encounter, Sumilon Island tour and Moalboal snorkeling with the sea turtles and sardines. Their reservation officer, John M was always on time when responding via email. Our driver, Jomz and our tour guide in Oslob, Merlita were very friendly and polite . They assisted us all throughout and were attentive to all our needs. Our boat crew both in Oslob and in Moalboal were also very helpful and accommodating. I am not a good swimmer but they made me feel at ease and they were always there to give guidance while snorkeling. We really had an amazing and memorable experience! Everything went smoothly from the time we were picked up from our hotel to the time were were dropped off. We highly recommend Cebu Tours! They have a team of professional and knowledgeable staff. This tour was definitely one for the books!

Professionally run private tour - Great well run private tour. While it was a long day of 14hrs it didn't not feel like it as my partner and I had our private car. Abam was a great driver we was professional and courteous and was on time. In fact he was early. The tour was so well run and we never felt like we were just waiting around. Ellen who organised our whale shark, lunch and breakfast was great. I would highly recommend this tour.

Amazing must do - You get to do everything in one day which is great if you’re not here for long. We got a private driver for the whole day that took us around to everything

Absolutely unforgettable experience - From the 3AM pickup to the ~7PM dropoff, this was easily one of the most exhausting yet memorable days of my life. I never thought I'd get to swim with whale sharks, tropical fish, sea turtles, and sardine runs, all in one day! Would highly recommend paying for the gopro and flippers rentals, especially if you know how to swim. Would also suggest bringing an extra towel/clothes, as you'll be in and out of the water all day. Special thanks to all my guides throughout the trip: Arnold, my driver, for driving me for hours from my hotel to each location and back Lynde, my whale shark tour guide, for leading me through the chaotic process, treating my first ever jellyfish sting (!), and making my day as comfortable as possible Benjie and his co-captain (whose name I didn't catch ;;), my island hopping tour guides, for leading me to the best turtle and sardine locations and taking so many amazing underwater photos and videos

Memories that will last forever - A bit of what to expect: Pick up: The day start at 4 am for me, my driver of the day -Bobby picked me up from my hotel lobby. Bobby have messaged me prior to the tour introduced himself and informed me about the pick up time! Bobby is an amazing driver, he made me feel very safe through the long drive, I was able to nap between of which making the early wake up very manageable! Whale shark watch: As many of the review, after the 3 hours drive/(sleep). I was greeted by my local guide -Ruby, she is lovely and informed me the itinerary of the morning. We went to the whale shark briefing, got my tickets because of bit of a queue. I had my breakfast which was lovely, banana, egg and toast with coffee ️ Since we got bit more time, we went to the Sumilon sandbar. Ruby kindly look after my bag when I explore the island! After visiting the sandbar, we return to the whale watch waiting gazebo, with a very short wait (I was able to sneak out and got myself some postcards whilst Ruby sat in the gazebo and looking after my belongings) We board the 'bangka' and paddle away to the spot. The whale sharks are gather at the spot for feeding and we were able to swim with them. I understand that there are many and better way to meet these gentle giant, but to me this is the accessible way at the moment. I am so so amazed by how they move and just took my breath away, and what an honour to be able to swim with them! After the whale shark watching, I have lunch and onward to Moalboal; a 2 hours drive. Moalboal:🐟 Arriving Moalboal, I was given a briefing from the tourism office. Soon after, I board bangka. First stop is the snorkel with the coral and fishes, where I found nemos! Second stop is the sardine run! They are just so so mesmerising, I can watch them all day!!! I also encounter some local teens trying spearfish the sardines, what an experience! Third stop, where I met the turtles! After the island hopping, I had a shower, and Bobby drop me off at my hotel! Thanks to Bobby, I was able to nap, I don't feel tired at all as the day ends! ☺️ As a solo traveller, I feel so safe and able to enjoy myself through the day! P.S.* I was told, almost instantly after booking the tour that Tumalog falls is close due to the dry season. Of which I was refunded. Ruby also informed me about the closure of the falls. Advise: If you are prone to sea sick you might want to take some medication/ remedies prior the tour! I have seen a lot of people being sick after the whale shark watch! Snacks & Drinks 🍓🫐🥤🍿 Waterproof camera 📷 They can be rent from different spot, but they do not include SIM card so be warn about that! I brought along my own waterproof camera and is one of the best decision when travelling to many of islands! Snorkel & Fins 🤿 I have my own snorkel but they are all available to rent! I would recommend renting the fins if you are able to use them as the current is quite strong! Tipping 💙 I had lots of conversation with the locals about their stories and life during my travel in the Philippines. From these conversation, I learnt that the Filipinos are hardworking and tough bunch, but I can also appreciate how much the tips will mean to them. So tip if you can as it will mean so much to them! Hope my review is helpful ☺️❤️

Loved Every Minute - We had a fantastic time swimming with the whale sharks and sardines! There were 10 whale sharks that day! Our boat guys were so helpful, and took the best pictures for us! Our tour guides Wilson and Saicy were so friendly and helpful. Check out Wilson’s band on Spotify. His song is Missing Mr. Marley by Seladub Warriors. It’s REALLY good 😄 The only downside to the day was heading out to walk on the sandbar, only to be told when we got there that it was high tide so the sandbar wasn’t there. It would have been nice to know that in advance. Overall, it was an incredible day, with the nicest people!

It was ok… - The driver and the tour guide were awesome! They were very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was not so impressive. Tumalog Falls were closed so, some level of refund was promised but I don’t believe it was commensurate to what was paid. Sumilon Sandbar was underwater because it was high tide so, instead of a 2 hour trip to the island to enjoy the water and sandbar, we spent about 15 minutes on the island and about 10 minutes in the water next to the boat dock. The whale shark encounter was the highlight of the day. The fish are basically led around to each of the boats by what they call fishermen who constantly feed the whale sharks to direct them to the visitors. Not a natural encounter but, it was still an amazing opportunity to see the fish and take some nice videos. We ultimately chose to skip Pescador Island as it was an additional 2 hour drive from the whale shark location and would have meant about a 6 hour car ride back to our hotel. Knowing what I know now, I would have just signed up for the whale shark trip and saved my money on the others…

The exploitation of whale sharks - We took the “whale shark and Sumilon Island” package with our hotel, the price was fair. Departure at 3 a.m., for an arrival at 3:30 a.m. and the wait begins, people arriving little by little. 5:30 a.m. it starts to move since the staff arrive, after the stamp on the arm and the recommendations, "be 5 meters from the animal, do not touch it bla bla bla...." re belote wait until 6:30 a.m. or we get into the fishermen's boats. 1st tip: leave in your swimsuit directly from your hotel and have a waterproof bag, because once in the boat with 15 people it becomes complicated Then a few meters from the beach the boats (30) position themselves and a fisherman feeds the whale shark so that we can be close to it, obviously the recommendations are forgotten and some are less than 5 meters away and try to touch it , there is no call to order The animal is magnificent and calm...... During the week and off-peak periods, the usefulness of being present at 3 a.m. is really not justified
