An amazing experience of real Japanesse culture - What an amazing day with Taka and Keiko. If you like to experience real culture, real wonderful people, real food and culture than this one is for you! I had the most wonderful welcome by this beautiful couple. Not that I have learned to cook some delicious and tasty food but learn about Japan, history and not to forget Origami! Thank you once again Taka and Keiko Lucia

Excellent Experience - Taka and Keiko were amazing from start to finish. They communicated from the time we booked until we arrived. They are really so warm. informative, gracious, knowledgeable, caring, and professional. We learned so much about the food and culture and we can’t thank them enough. They know how to engage people of all age groups. From making origami, cooking udon, cooking tempura, learning calligraphy, and so much more, we had an outstanding and memorable time. Truly one of the best Viator excursions, and we have done a lot of them. Please check out this excursion while in Tokyo, you will not regret it. We plan to keep in touch and are proud to be part of team Taka!

Our 5th home visit to our lovely Taka-san and Keiko-san sweet home! - My visit to our close family in Tokyo for the 5th time! It has become part of our routine to go back to our lovely and warmth “home” every year now…we sat and chit chat about all the good and bad things that we encountered since our last visit in Nov last year and we reminisced what we did more than 4 years ago to become such close friends and bonded family now. Taka-san is a very very knowledgeable person with a full eventful experience throughout his life career and his social experiences with people from different walks of life. We learned new things each time we chat! Keiko-san, as always, whipped up the most delicious food we ever had in Tokyo! Her cooking seriously yum yum! She knows how to complement each ingredients to the max! Hehe and they blessed us with the most juicy and rich melon! Ooh so good 😋 We are so appreciative that they always gifted us with snacks and remember my parents and welcome them to visit in future. We also brought local gifts and beer snacks from Singapore for them! We are always grateful that Taka-san and Keiko-san welcome us each time we visit Tokyo and spending quality time with us. We will get our parents together with us next time and have another round of cultural cooking exchange!

Most memorable experience of a 6 week trip to Japan - A truly unique experience with fantastic hosts, Taka and Keiko. They are so humble, patient and helpful. After booking twice and being cancelled twice due to COVID, we were excited to finally get a booking and we were not disappointed. We knew we were in for a big day, we disembarked from a cruise, then made our way to the meeting point by taxi. Our taxi driver made sure we met up with Taka and then we drove to Taka and Kekio’s place. We took part in all the activities and 4 hours just went by so quickly. There is no way you can improve on this experience, it is worthy of more than 5 stars. When it was time to go, Taka organised a taxi and came with us to assist us to get our reservation ticket for the JR train across to Kanazawa. Taka also helped with our bags onto the train. Ken and I, felt that their hospitality and the experience of the culture in their home was the highlight of our 6 week adventures in Japan. Food was great, and very hands on. Participating in origami and calligraphy was a laugh, but we got there with surprising results. Thank you again to Taka and Keiko, for a very memorable experience.

Great experience - lasting memories! - We had such a wonderful day with Taka-san and Keiko-san along with our two teenage children. It was our 3rd day in Tokyo and perfect timing to take a break from sight-seeing and spend a calm day learning about Japanese culture and cuisine. They were so welcoming and warm and made the whole day a fun experience for all of us. They were also very accommodating of our vegetarian son. Definitely a highlight of our trip and absolutely recommended!

Amazing - It was the best part of our trip to Tokyo! They are so welcoming and provided us with such great knowledge of the area and tradition's. They were both so fun and kind our kids who are 15 and 13 had the best time. The food was also the best we have had while in Japan so far. Highly recommend!!

Favorite Part of Japan! - It took me a while to write this review but this was my favorite experience in Japan in the month I spent there and I will remember this for years. Taka and Keiko welcomed us into their home as if we were family, taught us all about Japanese culture, and together we made one of the best meals we had in Japan! And this is including the Michelin star restaurant we visited later in the trip! We learned loads about Japanese history and learned how to make udon, sushi, and tempura. I was then able to bring this information back to my family in Los Angeles and teach them all these things myself! I highly recommend doing this course, I will now be doing a cooking course in every country I visit because of how positive an experience I had here.

Taka and Keiko are the... - Taka and Keiko are the loveliest people! Taka met us at the station to guide us to his house and also did the same when we left. We had the best time making origami, making udon and sushi, learning calligraphy and learning more about Japanese culture. The food was delicious!! We also enjoyed getting to know Taka and Keiko. They are the loveliest people and we are have glad to have gotten to know them and make some friends in Japan! Thank you so much for having us!
