• Otavalo Market - The Otavalo cultural tour offers a fantastic opportunity to explore the renowned artisan indigenous market in Ecuador, along with breathtaking views surrounding Otavalo. The tour kicks off with a picturesque drive north of Quito through the Sierra highlands. The first stop is at Mitad del Mundo, followed by a visit to Cayambe, where participants can savor and learn about the town’s renowned bizcochos (local biscuits). The journey then continues to the famous Otavalo market, where visitors have the chance to purchase local handicrafts. While Saturday is the main market day, this tour is available throughout the week. A professional guide will provide insights into the indigenous people of the area, including the Quitu, Cara, and other pre-Inca groups, as well as information about the city. The final stop is Cotacachi, a town celebrated for its leather goods. Before exploring this town, there will be time for lunch at a local restaurant. PM.- Return to Quito.
