Embark on a full-day adventure to explore the renowned region of Transylvania, taking in some of Romania’s most significant and unique sights: Sinaia’s Peles Castle, a symbol of Romanian royal lineage and an esteemed historic and artistic monument; the intriguing 13th-century Bran Castle, surrounded by the myth of Count Dracula; and Brasov, one of the most frequented cities in Romania. - Due to uneven surfaces, this tour is not recommended for those with walking difficulties or in a wheelchair
- Please know that Peles Castle is closed to the public on Mondays through the year and on Tuesdays from August 1st 2024 to May 1st 2025. Should your tour fall within this period, the itinerary will be adjusted to include an exterior view of Peles Castle, with extended visits to Bran Castle and the city of Brasov. Please note that the itinerary may be subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances, such as changes to castle policies.
- Children under 7 years old are not allowed.
- Please note that transfer duration are estiamtes and may vary based on traffic conditions and time of day
- Please refrain from consuming food, hot beverages, alcohol or smoking within the vehicle
- Participants must not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs during the tour in order to participate
- IMPORTANT! 1) If you want to visit Peles Castle please buy tickets in advance only for the time slot (10:00-11:00 if you have the trip on Wednesday and for the rest of the week 9:15-11:00) because there is a maximum capacity of 500 tickets per time slot. 2) If you have your trip on Friday, Saturday or Sunday please check the availability of the time slot in advance. 3) If you made the booking but the tickets are already sold out you can buy tickets to Pelisor castle, which is also worth to be visited. The time slot that you have to choose here is (10:00-12:00 if you have the trip on Wednesday and for the rest of the week 9:15-12:00) 4) The guided tour will be just in Peles Castle. 5) PLEASE DO NOT BUY TICKETS FOR OTHER TIME SLOTS THAN THE ONE MENTIONED ABOVE! 6) The pick up point is ONLY at University Square at 7 AM, you will receive a message with all the details regarding your guide phone number and bus plate number one day in advance.

Very rushed but they did their best! - It was not actually excellent HOWEVER given all the constraints the guide had, I just have to give it to her (Iulia) and the driver (Florino). Like many other reviewers of a similar tour, it was a very rushed experience - especially at the Peles Castle, which seriously would need at least half a day on its own to appreciate its beauty, but of course we did not have the luxury of time. As a result, we did have to walk through all the different rooms and chambers briskly while Iulia explained as much as she could in both English and Italian (naturally not everyone was able to hear her as we were already a big group and there were other tourists pushing their way in or standing in between - it was really chaotic in such a small space!)
What I appreciated from the trip was: 1) Iulia is not young yet she was just as fit as the fittest among us! 2) instead of trying to make extra bucks by selling overpriced tickets to the castle, this company asked us to book the tickets online ourselves (and she checked on everyone again in the bus) - even when Iulia offered to buy tickets to Bran Castle, she bought them in front of us so no mark-ups there. Other companies would have you buy the tickets through them with 50% or more mark-ups 3) she was very protective with our group and tried to secure a spot in the queue at Peles for us so we didn't have to wait much longer like everyone else - trust me, this mattered A LOT. 4) she also ensured whoever was not visiting Peles could go to Pelisor or kept informed of everything.
As a result, we arrived just one hour behind schedule but I could feel that we had the maximum amount of time such an itinerary allows.
A few things to make this tour even better: 1) have the group wear something like a small tag to keep everyone together as it was very easy to miss one or more people 2) a butterfly microphone in the castles or at least the castle ground would be nice if possible 3) wifi in the bus would also be nice as I lost signals every now and then.

A great day out in the Romanian mountains - An excellent trip and wonderful day. Our guide, Lulia, was very good and made sure everyone was having a good time and that we felt included. She was knowledgeable and gave us good information at all three of the locations.
I’ve seen some reviews on here about people getting left behind in the morning - to be fair there is a 15min pick up window and we even stayed a little longer waiting for people who didn’t end up showing up on time. The information provided prior to booking was comprehensive and clear - we booked at 9:30pm the night before and still received enough info to be there on time with the exact pick up times. So, as we are all adults who are responsible for our own actions, I would say you are given ample information to be there on time and that this is not a reflection of what is a very good tour and a very good day.
Overall would highly recommend!

Excellent trip despite... - Excellent trip despite the early start. Distribution of time could have been better.
1 1/2 hrs barely enough to do Bran castle. No opportunity to browse the stalls.
Eugen was a good tour guide.

Great tour with a great guide. - Pavel was an excellent guide, and the experience would likely have been quite different without him. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and trip. Dracula is now checked off my list.

Stunning sights and wonderful guide - Ana is the most competent, thoughtful and caring guide you could ask for. Always super precise in giving everyone extensive information about averything we see as well as details regarding meeting spots/times, tips on where to eat and drink and virtually anything that you might be interested in. Very sweet and easy-going, we felt super taken care of and had a great time with her around the beautiful sights of Transilvania.

We used the tour to travel from Bucharest to Braşov and it was the best choice ever. - The tour was one of the best we’ve ever had. The coach was clean everything was super well organised. Ana was the most knowledgeable, kind, entertaining and funny guide ever. Would definitely do it again and recommend it to anyone.

It is certainly a long journey, but this is inevitable between the distances to travel, any traffic you encounter along the way and the lines at the castles.

Nightmarish and unforgettable experience - Nothing to say about the beauty of the places, the rest was a nightmare. The guide Iulia started shouting and railing in an unworthy, inhumane and I don't know how to define it against everyone. Absolutely not suitable for this type of work and the driver was no less. They have levels of nervousness and rudeness that really hurt us. You lose so much
