Experience the 75-minute walking tour of Ottawa that has been captivating visitors and locals alike for more than 20 years. The Original Haunted Walk is led by the best of local storytellers, dramatists, and amateur historians, sharing some of the most hair-raising and spine-chilling real-life ghost stories from the area. Follow along as they lead the way by lantern light to their favourite haunted spots. From January to March, we offer a special winterized version of the tour complete with the comfort of cozy indoor stops along the way.

Beautiful walk to discover Ottawa - Great time with our little family in a French speaking group. Perfect walk to visit the sites and listen to the stories. To do. Walking quite fast so for people without reduced mobility.

Awesome haunted walk experience - Had an awesome time at the haunted walk. Laura was an amazing story teller. Never experienced paranormal like this. All the places were amazing and creepy but the top most were
1. Story of the teachers school.
2. Dr Frank's house
3. Rideau canal
Will definitely come back again when I get a chance

Darcy was awesome! - We had a wonderful walking tour led by Darcy. She was an excellent hostess and tour guide; answered questions when asked, spoke loud and clear with excellent knowledge and intonation, and was interested in her participants. The tour itself was interesting and highlighted fun stories that brought some of the buildings alive. I recommend this tour, and Darcy, to anyone who wants to know more about the city!

A Lot of Fun - Really enjoyed the tour....the host was knowledgeable, friendly, and informative. We learned a lot more about Canada and Ottawa as well as the local ghost knowledge. We covered a lot of ground and got a great feel for the city and its ghostly history.

Great story telling, fun diversion - Margot, our host, told her ghost stories without any cheesy vocal or visual effects. She chose not to channel Vincent Price or Elvira. Rather, she kept it all conversations and relatable, taking questions and providing her sources like a good journalist. And given we did most of our tour in daylight, that worked fine. She also offered up solid contextual information about Ottawa history, various buildings and why there might have been ghosts in different places. Definitely worth the money.

Ghost Stories - Our black-clad guide led us through downtown Ottawa as dusk fell, with story after story of ghostly appearances from Ottawa’s history. We had done the tour once before, and brought our teen granddaughters who enjoyed the experience.

For cost, lacked something - guide seemed more concerned with our safety then creating an experience. - Nothing really stood out. Thought there would be more. One of the individuals seemed more interested in being on his phone which was distracting.

Interesting spooky walk 👻 - It was an interesting walk to know haunted stories in ottawa downtown area, started at sparks street old post office building, followed the canal till city hall. Our guide told the stories in an interesting way, walk was around an hour or bit more.

A little disappointed 😒 - Nice walk, nice story but too expensive for what it is.
It's too short, no interaction.
Bravo to Jaqueline, good storyteller. She was really good.
I preferred the one from Quebec quality/price. More scary.
