A Poster of Moroccan Culture: Ait Ben Haddou - Ait Ben Haddou, in my mind, is the poster for a Moroccan cultural experience. This is the day trip I would choose if I only can visit the Mountain Atlas once. I recommend to have a meal at the Hotel L'Oasis d'Or restaurant and order the chicken tajin.

A great excursion to do - An incredible visit. The road is a bit long from Marrakech but it is definitely worth it. The Air Ben Haddou site is very beautiful and interesting. As for Ouarzazate, I really liked it but didn't have enough time there. These two sites are great for taking photos.

Amazing!!🤩 - Our excursion to the Berber fortress Ait Benhaddou in Morocco was an absolute dream! From the moment we boarded the bus, we were captivated by the stunning landscapes and vibrant culture that unfolded before us. The journey itself was an adventure, with each twist and turn revealing new wonders. As we approached Ait Benhaddou, the sight of the ancient fortress rising majestically against the desert backdrop took our breath away. Walking through the narrow streets and climbing the rugged stairs, we felt like we had stepped back in time to a place steeped in history and mystery. Our guide regaled us with fascinating stories about the fortress and the Berber people who once called it home. We learned about their traditions, customs, and way of life, gaining a deeper understanding of the rich tapestry of Moroccan culture. The views from the top of the fortress were simply mesmerizing, with sweeping vistas of the surrounding desert and distant mountains. We spent hours exploring every nook and cranny, soaking in the beauty and serenity of this ancient marvel. Overall, our excursion to Ait Benhaddou was an unforgettable experience that exceeded all our expectations. It was a perfect blend of adventure, culture, and natural beauty, and we feel truly grateful to have had the opportunity to explore such a remarkable place. We'll cherish the memories of this journey forever!

A day out in Ait Benhaddou and Ouarzazate - We had a lovely time visiting Ait Benhaddou with the local guide (40 dh per person, but well worth it!). The kasbah is gorgeous, and this day trip is a good way to see the desert without a multi-day commitment. Ouarzazate was also nice, but we preferred the kasha since we had limited interest in film history.

I cannot recommend it more!! - It was really easy to communicate with their team on whatsapp and they picked us up from our accommodation on time, the van was clean and we felt safe throughout the whole journey. We went on the mountains where the driver stopped for people to take some pictures of the scenery which was impressive, then we arrived in a small village where we have seen the fortress(hope I am saying this right) which was very interesting, we had lunch in a close by restaurant then we headed to another town and we went to Atlas studio(the entrance fee has to be paid separately but it is worth going). Then the driver took us back again through the mountains(heartbreaking scenery) and we arrived in Marrakech when the driver took us back to our accommodation. I would like to mention that our driver was very careful on the road(24 years of experience driving daly so we felt totally safe) and we also had breaks on the way(toilet, for coffee/tea). What was also interesting is that we got a night tour of the city while the driver was taking back the people from the van. Overall, this experience was great, I would recommend having some cash on you to get water and food.

Ait Ben Haddou - Fantastic day trip - breathtaking views in the Atlas Mountains and great history in Ait Ben Haddou. The visit to the Atlas Studios was a bit short hence only 4 stars. Our driver Annes and our guide Mohar were brilliant. Fully recommend.

Prepare yourself for a 13 h trip packed with scams - Prepare yourself for a 13h trip on twisty roads along with 15 other people, some with kids that will have road sickness and tr.. up because of the speed the driver do on bends. No air con, open windows with a lot of dust. Every stop on the road, prepare your cash: toilet at the shop? Pay the lady. Drinks, snacks? 5 times the price. Upon arrival at ait ben haddou, a "guide" met us and said he will take us to the castle. Every time he saw us going ahead, was yelling stay with the group. The trick was, at the end he charged us 30 dirham each for his service, altough no one told us beforehand, and really there s no need for a guide. There s a small river that you have to cross on some stones, and 10 kids will take your hands aggresivelly and cross you, and then ask for money. Also, the guide will take you to a restaurant of their choice for lunch. Don t bother calculating what you had, price will be different anyways, saying there s an extra service tax added to this. In Ouarzazate there is not much to see. Except the movie museum, but you have only 45 min to do so. At the souvenir shops people take you in and if you refuse they will say something in berber very upset, probably you know. Overall, i would recommend you take the private tour, but i think won t solve all the problems. Morroco is a beautiful country, but a lot of people in there have no respect and they will do almost anything to scam you.
