Day 1: Marrakech - Ait Benhaddou - Valley of Roses - Dadès Gorges
Tizi n Tichka - Begin the journey from Marrakech early in the morning, heading towards Ouarzazate via the Tizi-n-Tichka pass. This renowned mountain pass in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco links Marrakech and Ouarzazate. It is celebrated for its scenic and winding roads. Situated at an altitude exceeding 2,000 meters (approximately 6,500 feet), it offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. The journey continues towards the kasbah Ait Ben Haddou.
Ait Ben Haddou - Ksar Ait Ben Haddou is a renowned historical site in Morocco, celebrated for its stunning ancient architecture and historical significance. Located at the base of the High Atlas Mountains near Ouarzazate, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is a quintessential example of Moroccan terracotta architecture. After exploring, enjoy a lunch break.
El Kelaa M’gouna - Proceeding to the Valley of Roses, Kelaa Magouna is a city in southern Morocco, famed for its rose production and related products. The area is often referred to as the “Valley of Roses” due to the extensive fields of Damascus roses, particularly around the city.
Dades Gorges - The journey continues through the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs to reach the Dades Gorge, passing through Berber villages. The day concludes at Gorge Dades, where the first night is spent.
Day 2: Day of hiking around the Dades Gorge region
Boumalne Dades - Start the day with a delightful breakfast at the hotel or riad, followed by a hike in the Dades Gorge. This adventure offers breathtaking scenery, rich history, and an opportunity to explore the spectacular natural beauty of southern Morocco. The Gorges are located in the Draa-Tafilalet region, near the towns of Kelaa Magouna and Boumalne Dadès, and are among Morocco’s most iconic hiking and trekking destinations.
Day 3: Dades Gorge - Ouarzazate - Marrakech
Ouarzazate - After breakfast, depart from Dades and travel to Ouarzazate, home to some of Morocco’s most renowned film studios, including Atlas and CLA studios. These studios have played a significant role in producing numerous international films, including major Hollywood blockbusters. Situated in and around Ouarzazate, the city is a popular hub for filmmakers worldwide.
Marrakech - After visiting the movie studio, the driver will transport you to the hotel in Marrakech, a journey of approximately 3 hours.
